A well exercised dog is a happy dog

Pet care experience

I worked for my (formerly trained) brother's dog walking business for 3 years. The lessons I learned were invaluable. I've been around dogs since birth and currently have a rescue dog named Holly. I will treat your pup as if it were my own.

Ed is a caring and thoughtful guardian for his dog. He maintains an active lifestyle bringing his dog on hikes, play time and just getting out of the house. He's respectful and mindful of other dogs and children when they approach and he's nurturing in a welcoming manner. Ed is a great dog owner.

Safety, trust & environment

I take my dog off-leash in the woods but also use leads for dogs without good re-call. Safety is my main priority. I'm a firm believer that a well exercised dog equates to a happy more well-behaved dog.

Information Ed D. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors to account for. Ideally I like to incorporate my dog with others but I also do personal drop-ins to accommodate those not comfortable with the group hikes.

A typical day

I start every morning (after I drop my girls at school) taking my pup Holly and a few of her friends out in one of the many beautiful hiking trails throughout Pound Ridge and Bedford. The dogs love all the sounds and activity in the woods. Holly loves to jump in the water (at appropriate spots) with a few of her pals joining in. The dogs have formed a bond which is amazing to witness develop. After a quick water break it's back to swift hike followed by a tick check, cleanup and drying off before going back into the car for the fun ride home.
