I hired Echo for "house sitting" which I thought meant staying at my home with my pup. I was told by Echo that she was off work at 2pm, and would head to my house afterward. I have security cameras at my house that tell me when someone comes and goes. Echo had not arrived at my house until after 5 pm. She never reached out to tell me she would be late. Apparently there was a personal event which prevented her from arriving on time. I understand that stuff happens, but again, just communicate that. She finally arrived, stayed for 15 minutes, then left again. I hadn't noticed until several hours later. I was absolutely heartsick for my pet. Again, zero communication as to why she left after being with my dog for only 15 min. I had to ask her again when she would be back. I just could NOT reconcile what had happened. She then arrives later that evening, stayed the night, and the next day sent me a msg that she had to address personal issues, and could not complete the job, which had roughly 4 days left. I am out of state, knew of noone else from this app. I couldn't believe what was happening. Thank god my neighbor stepped up and took over for my pet. I don't know what I would've done, short of bringing a complete stranger into my home, to watch my dog, from the rover app. I was so disappointed at the lack of communication, as well as lacking responsibility of stepping up and doing the right thing. This was not hired out as "In home visits". This was hired out as "house sitter." Want to be clear on that.

Echo has taken care of my two kitties multiple times while I've been away. She is attentive to detail, follows all instructions, and also will send me pictures of the kitties as a nice added touch while I'm away (and also pictures of her own two cats if you're into that too). It can be hard to leave your pets for extended periods of time, but I at least don't have to worry about their well-being when Echo is taking care of them.
