Pet care experience
I love animals of all kinds. Most of my life I have lived and loved with pets. We always had cats in our house growing up and both dogs and cats have been a part of my life ever since. I have fostered dogs and volunteered at the SPCA for many years. All of my pets have been rescues and as a volunteer, I love to see the happy adopters and adoptees.
Reviews
Another great week with Dyvonne and Lyla! Sugar and Luna had a wonderful time playing and cuddling while we were away. We enjoyed seeing our daily photos and their smiles! Thanks again for loving our girls!!!
Rio always comes back happy and tired from Dyvonne’s! So grateful for her and her love for Rio :)
It was my first time leaving Rio with a sitter and Dyvonne took such great care of her. I got photo and video updates frequently which was so nice to see! Rio has been exhausted since I picked her up so I can tell she had a great, fun time. I will definitely be leaving Rio in Dyvonne’s care again.
Dyvonne was super flexible when our flight got canceled and was happy to watch our girls for an additional day. So helpful!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced in backyard with a few agility obstacles and lots of rubber fetch balls. Lyla loves to play fetch and would play for hours if I were so inclined. I live in a quiet wooded neighborhood which is perfect for dog walks. Most of the times I walk, we rarely see other dogs because it is so early or dark. I have LED lights on the leashes as well as reflective vests and leashes. Sometimes we go hiking at Umstead or Eno. If it is ok with you, I would be a happy to take your dog on a hike with us or to the park. I only accept 1 client at a time. If the client has 2 dogs that is fine, as they are of the same family and bonded with each other. Too many different dogs in the same environment can be stressful on any dog. I do not want you or our dog to be uncomfortable.

Information Dyvonne E. would like to know about your pet
I like to know the behavior and special needs of your pets so I can accommodate them. Are they skittish or anxious around people or other dogs? Do they require more frequent potty breaks? how frequent? Are they food aggressive or not food motivated at all. Are they high energy or happy to be napping most of the time? Favorite things to do? Any special dietary or allergy needs?
A typical day
We all wakeup around 6am, begin our walk shortly thereafter with breakfast is around 7. I work remotely from 8-5, I have a couch and a dog bed in my office and often the pups will hang out with me there sometimes. I also play the YouTube Dog channel all day on the TV. The music is soothing throughout the house and occasionally the dogs lay on the couch to watch or listen, super cute. During the day we take frequent breaks to play outside and get some fresh air. Dinner is around 5, with our evening walk a little later. Bedtime begins at 8pm, we head upstairs for some cuddle time and a bedtime treat. I like to read a bedtime story; it relaxes the dogs, and I get to practice my Spanish.

Availability
I work from home and there are many opportunities for walks and playtime during the day. Your babies will have lots of attention and I love being outside with them. Please let me know if your dog has distance limitations. Our longer walks are usually 2 to 3 miles. I make my own dog food to supplement the dry kibble; I call it Canine Casserole and the dogs love it. I start with a meat (ground beef, chicken, or turkey) and add rice, dried beans, vegetables water and spice. I have done a lot of research into what spices are good for dogs and why. Rosemary, basil, oregano, parsley, ginger, and cinnamon combine to make a great blend of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and flavonoids. The dogs love it, and it makes me happy to see even the pickiest of grazers gobble down their food. I like pieces of baked chicken to supplement my kitty's food and I am also starting to bake dog treats from sweet potato chips.
