Reliable, Awesome, Respectful

Pet care experience

Hello!!! My name is Dylan Tschoerner owner of Under The Sun Home Pet Care. Under The Sun Home Pet Care is a fully comprehensive animal management service offering our kindness to every animal “under the sun”. Services include training and pet sitting for all domesticated animals, dog walks, and basic/sanitary grooms. I’ve been working with animals since 2010 when I got my first herd of boer goats. After that I became enthralled by animals and devoted my life to them. When I attended Blinn in Bryan-College Station for my Associates degree in Agriculture, I apprenticed Tate Ramirez and worked as his only employee at “Paws and Claws Pet Service”. This allowed me to see first hand how this business was run. My collegiate expeiced pertained to animal husbandry and crop production. After I moved back to the Austin area, july 2018, I worked as a kennel tech and saved up enough money to start my business... I now live in Austin and have a back yard and have many families stay with me all the time! Whether you have to go out of town, have a crazy dog, or show live stock animals... I guarentee, I can give you a hand. Call/Text or DM... what ever you prefer. I look forward to speaking with you. Thank you!

Dylan did a pretty good job, but he can be unresponsive and terribly difficult to get a hold of

Florence had a great time with Dylan. He sent videos and updates. Looks like she had a lot of play time and walks. Thank you again, Dylan!

I struggled with this review rating for many reasons, but I felt a bit mislead. Maybe it was because it was my first Rover experience. First of all, Dylan was extremely responsive, which carries a lot of weight in my book, and he even offered to drop the dogs off at my house. Where I struggled was with his living situation. He lives in a rather small RV with no fenced yard. All the dogs (5) were sleeping in the RV and left in the RV together when he was away. They ran as a pack when they were outside. I won't deny that my dogs are city slickers, but the atmosphere was a shock to me and really turned me off. I didn't see any of this important information in his profile or it would just be my fault for overlooking it. My dogs didn't eat basically anything for two days and came back a bit traumatized. I think Dylan is a stand up guy and I would give him a 4 star, however, the conditions were a 2 star, and that may be a bit of a stretch. Obviously this is just my personal opinion. I think up front information would have changed my expectation and most likely my booking choice.

Information Dylan T. would like to know about your pet

I would just like to know any agression, anxiety, or problems in general. How well their recall is. Are they trained? I do not have any breed preferences.

A typical day

First Off... I don’t let other families play together though unless I think it’s super safe. The home and back yard are big enough to accommodate more than one family. We can go on walks in my neighborhood or go to one of the properties I have if it’s okay. When visiting the home, the first thing we do is go outside for a bathroom break. If the dog has toys to play with, then we will play. Otherwise I will show it as much attention as it wants. If I am watching your dog and you would like me to go on a walk, I have no problem with that. Dog walks, for me, are routes that stimulate the animals senses to full satifaction. If the dog is smaller and less energetic... we may find a spot to settle. If the dog is larger, perhaps we will jog, and chase squirrels together. I also like to keep the route in the neighborhood, so the dog is more familiar. If you’d like me to take the animal to a different location, we can discuss that as well.
