I’m caring and active and treat every animal with love. All dogs are so amazing and after getting and after getting my first dog a little over a five years ago, I couldn’t be happier. I have always watched my friends and family’s dogs if they have been out of town and have just decided to do it more and to use it to help pay for college expenses and other things. As a young professional, I am always needing to find wants to expand my knowledge, and I feel that getting involved with Rover will teach me some things that I’ll need. I love working with animals and seeing how happy they are and how much love and support they can provide to people is so amazing.

Whenever I am in a clients home, I like to make sure that the dog does not feel threatened or anxious about my arrival in their home. Some dogs take time to warm up while others want to be pet immediately. It is important to assess every situation to ensure there are no issues that may arise. Also, by letting the dog initiate play time or walks, it allows for them to feel more comfortable with a stranger.

Any sort of special medications or behaviors are always important to know. Every dog is different, but by having a sense of the dog before meeting them it can make the process simple and make the stay fun and exciting.
A typical day
I love being outside and if possible I love to take dogs to the dog park. Whether they play fetch with a stick or a ball, anything they bring I’ll always be willing to throw. When it comes to walks, I enjoy taking dogs new ways every time they go out for a walk. I feel like this allows for new sights and smells to be discovered which can be a very enriching experience.

Besides my full time job, pet care is my second top priority. I take care of my dog, Ralph, and ensure he is walked, fed, and has anything he needs for the day before I even head to work. Pet care is something that I am passionate about because a happy dog is the most important thing to a family.
