Hi! I'm Drew, a 30-year-old dog-lover from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I live with my lovely wife, Jade. We both adore dogs and would absolutely love to spend time with yours! I used to work at a dog daycare in Toronto, where I spent full days looking after up to 30 dogs at a time. Through the daycare I also boarded many clients' dogs. So, needless to say, I have professional experience with nearly all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities! Jade and I work as actors, so our flexible schedules make us an ideal home-away-from-home for your pup. If socialization is your pup's thing, we live and work near Point Pleasant Park, where we can go for walks and greet other dogs. We can't wait to meet your fur-babies!

Professional, friendly, great communicators - Jade and Drew have a fabulous and very organized plan for "drop off" to avoid undue separation anxiety which was especially appreciated (for all involved!). Showed lots of experience managing many types of dog personalities and behaviours such as resource guarding. Went above and beyond to accommodate our booking request.
Absolutely wonderful people that took excellent care of our dog! Can’t thank them enough.

We provide a very low-stress environment for your dog. We have no pets of our own and no kids, so dogs tend to settle into our place very quickly and easily. They are allowed on all furniture (unless you don't want that!) so pups tend to feel right at home. Our default policy is private boarding, aka we only take dogs from one family at a time, so if your dog or dogs can't be boarded with other dogs, we're a great fit for you. If for any reason your booking wouldn't be a private board, we would let you know upfront, but truly, it's under very rare circumstances that we would be willing to take dogs from multiple homes. One exception: NYE Weekend 2023 (Dec 29, 2023-Jan 1 2024) we ARE accepting dogs from multiple families. We've set the weekend aside so there will be a human home 24/7 to ensure everyone is getting along!

1. We have a very specific drop off policy to reduce separation anxiety. We'll give you the lowdown upon booking. 2. If you're going out of town, we do require an overnight trial before you go. Meet and Greets just don't give us quite enough information about how your dog will be without you. 3. Your dog does need to be okay at home unsupervised for a few hours. We love spending time with pups as much as possible when we have them, but occasionally we'll both have to step out. We're not worried about our stuff: our home is quite dog-proofed.
A typical day
A tired dog is a happy dog! Jade and I are very active people and we ensure that all pups in our care get appropriately tuckered out, exploring the South End with us. We tend to do 3-4 walks a day, depending on the individual dog's energy level and needs: one in the morning, another 1 or 2 throughout the day, and a late night pee break. At home: lots of cuddles.

Availability
Jade and I work full-time, but in a small, dog-friendly office, so sometimes your pets will come hang out with us at work. Our jobs involve a little bit of teaching, so your pup could be in our very dog-proofed home for a few hours without supervision while we teach our classes. Don't worry, we'll still make sure they get lots of walks!
