The opportunity to help pet owners when they need it is something I really value, but even more importantly, I get to share my love with dogs. I am a humanitarian by nature, having volunteered for years. I care about both people and animals. I have always wanted to own a dog but never had the opportunity to. This is a chance for me to share my love with someone else's dog. I love to be outdoors and active, and if I’m with a dog it’s that much better! Especially in new environments and with new people, I understand that it takes time for the dog to learn and listen to someone new. I’ve worked with kids and that helped me develop a lot of patience and compassion, which helps me care for animals, too. Dogs to me are the best friends anyone could ever have. They know when you are sad and happy, they are always there for you. Being with dogs also gives me a sense of freedom and a different perspective. They always cheer me up and put me in a good mood, they are playful and keep me active.
