Doug and Madeline are fantastic hosts. They were great for my pup Rio and made me feel completely comfortable while I was away on vacation. Rio stayed for ~6 days and I got an update every day on how she was doing. Rio became fast friends with their dogs Roxy and Tyler. Both of their dogs gave Rio the space she needed to get settled in but also were happy to play as she warmed up! I would highly recommend Doug and Madeline to anyone and will definitely be using them again if I leave town (and in fact, Rio may want me to leave to get more play time with Roxy!).

My Shuki, a 14 year-old sheltie, has stage II kidney disease and I've been loathe to leave her with anyone because variations in diet or medication could have serious consequences. But I was out of the country for 18 days in January and, after reading about Doug and Madeleine, and then meeting them and their two lovely pups, I decided to leave Shuki in their care. I was very nervous, because she and I are very bonded and I adore her. During my trip Doug sent me not just pictures and news, but video! Not only did Shuki not go into a decline, she was looking better and better with each set of pics I got! Laughing, I asked Doug in a text if he charged extra for making a dog younger. Among other things, while I was away, there was a blizzard in Boston. Doug and Madeleine shoveled out, and the dogs carried on as if noting had happened. I can't say enough about the quality of the care-taking your dog will receive if you leave her or him with Doug and Madeline. Shuki's medication is complicated, but they never batted an eye. Now home, Shuki is healthier than when I left the country. I would never ask anyone but Doug and Madeleine to take care of her.
