My 11 month old Belgian Malinois has stayed at the kennel that's helped me train her and she travels with my wife and I all the time when I'm on business This was the first time my dog has stayed with someone other than my trainer or with my wife and I. We are on vacation in the New Orleans area and needed someone to watch Luna while we crammed in all events that are not dog friendly. To start, Douglas responds quickly and during the visit before Doggy Day Care, he even made my wife comfortable. Douglas is laid back but very thorough. He first walked my dog, then after he felt comfortable, he introduced his dog to my dog. Once that intro took place he brought Luna and me in his home so I would understand where Luna would be "hanging out" and then he took Luna and me to his backyard to show me where she will play. The next day I dropped off Luna. Douglas sent me pictures of Luna being walked and her playing in his backyard. Upon pick up, I again witnessed the thoroughness of Douglas. He explained how Luna first missed me very much and how he worked to build up trust with her to make her comfortable. This is HUGE as the Belgian Malinois breed is one that the dog has to trust the person before any next steps are possible. I would recommend Douglas to anyone in the New Orleans area. Douglas has taken good care of my dog on many occasions when I was out of town. He is always careful with her as she is an older dog with arthritis and he has a genuine love of animals. I feel he is trustworthy and would be careful and loving with any animals in his care.
