Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Doug. I have owned, trained, and cared for dogs for 30+ years. I have plenty of experience with rescue animals (both dogs and cats) and have house sat for dogs and cats for friends and family most of my adult life, including extended stays.

Doug is a fantastic dog sitter! He stayed in our home for 3 days with our dog while we were away, took great care of him, responded to my texts or calls promptly, and sent photos of our dog as well. He took great care of our home too. We will definitely be calling Doug again! Thanks Doug!
Doug stayed with our 2 yr old dog for a weekend and we could not have been happier with the care and attention he paid to her and our house! Doug was incredibly responsive throughout the weekend and provided us with updates on all the activities they did on a very cold January weekend. I could not recommend Doug more for in-home dog-sitting.
Our dog is not an easy guy to walk. He is extremely large and is triggered by MANY things on his walk. This is especially difficult if you are not sure how to handle him. Doug was patient and so helpful to help us take care of of our dog while we were away. We look forward to working with Doug again soon!

If you hire me to care for your pet in your home, I will come to your house and hang out with your pet and tend to their needs. While working remotely, I'll be able to spend plenty of time with your pet during the day. We'll play, go for walks, and typically I'll stay the night. Sadly, I do not offer to host pets for new clients. The current pet situation in my home is not amenable to new animals coming in and out. If we've worked together in the past so that your pet and I know each other and have built up trust, I'd be happy to talk with you about whether or not this could be an option for you and your pet.

Availability
I am a teacher during the school year, and have the flexibility of working from home during the summer and other breaks. I have flexible hours which allows me to care for pets both during the day and housesitting overnight. My hours also allow me to have the time to provide long walks ;)
