Pet care experience
I have owned a number of different dog breeds over the past 50 years from Poodle to Golden Retriever. I have learned over the years that all breeds are different, and each pet requires individual approach. I've provided loving care and respect to each of the dogs I've owned, and will do the same for your dog. Being retired affords me the opportunity to not be tied to a work or school schedule which means flexibility and availability to meet you and your pets needs. I'm an avid walker who is out with my 5 yr. old Golden Retriever walking on average 2 to 5 miles a day. If it's too warm for a walk on the hot sidewalk or paved trails, we will play in the backyard on the grass, with plenty of time for ear scrubs and belly rubs.

Doug was a spectacular dog walker for Bear. They went to a nearby dog park where Bear was allowed to roam and play. I’m very grateful for Doug and his prompt arrival and considerate questions about my dog’s personality on walks. I will definitely be booking again!
We have been so pleased with Doug’s care of our sweet pup. Right from the start communication has been excellent. Doug has modified activity to match the weather/temps to make sure Penny did not get too much heat exposure...choosing shady routes, and back yard play when it was too warm for a full fledged walk. He’s provided very thorough report cards and loads of pictures and comments to keep us very much in the loop. I feel very confident that Penny is receiving the same care, attention, and love that we give her while in Doug’s care. I very highly recommend this personable, reliable, and communicative Rover for drop in visits and walks. We have found our perfect match.
Doug is a true dog lover and dogs truly love him in return. He has a calm yet assertive nature that my dog and grand pup are drawn to. My dog is so comfortable and happy when in his care. She loves her walks and drop in times where all the attention is on her. :). In addition to his obvious love of dogs, Doug is extremely reliable and flexible. As a retiree, he has schedule availability and flexibility that is hard to beat. I highly recommend Doug for drop-in visits and dog walks.
Doug is great with my dog Tilly. He is very reliable and has a flexible schedule which works great with our busy lifestyle. He is also very patient with my pup who is still full of puppy energy. He is very kind-hearted and it is obvious that he loves dogs. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker.
