Pet care experience
I worked with animals on a dairy farm in my youth and have since had many of my own rescue animals (both cats and dogs) over the years. I have often pet-sat for friends and neighbors, and now retired would love to continue helping animals enjoy their lives. Since I am retired, my schedule is free except when I am playing music at local venues. In short, I am available almost all the time. I have one 15 year old rescue dog named Arlo. I treat animals as my client's wish, and always with gentleness and care for the well-being of the pet. I attend to each pet's needs whatever they might be.

In addition, 15+ years ago he adopted a dog through a non-profit rescue I was affiliated with, and has been the best dog Dad that Arlo could ever have landed! Doug is the ideal pet caregiver. For starters, he has rescued, adopted and cared for countless little family members himself. He will love your pets like he does his own and like he did my little buddy Ringo for so many years. He's also a professor, musician and a carpenter, so he can teach your pet a new trick, sing a song or build a dog house. He's extremely reliable and, believe it or not, even likes being outside in lousy weather. You will be happy and relaxed knowing your pet is safe and well cared for by Doug.
Doug is amazing with all sorts of animals! He is patient, kind, gentle and is a veritable pet whisperer! He has the ability to gain the trust of all animals he cares for, even the shy and finicky. Doug will treat them as if they're his own and they will be well showered with love and care.
