Pet care experience
My family has always had dogs, cats, and other pets. We enjoy dog walks, chuck-it fetch, and working on training and tricks. We sometimes do outings. I can pop into your place when you're at work or away to care for your pets, Besides cats and dogs, we've had a parrot, a lizard, and aquarium fish.
Reviews
Jasper stayed with Dorothy for 9 nights whilst we were on vacation. Dorothy sent us daily updates and videos of Jasper and how he was doing which we appreciated so much. We could tell how happy he was there and it helped us not to worry so much about him as we could tell he was being cared for very well. Very happy with the service from Dorothy once again.
Jasper had another great visit with Dorothy. He has came home happy & tired again.

We have a relaxed pet-friendly home on an acreage and we accommodate friendly dogs who have some basic obedience training: sit, down, and walk on a leash without pulling a lot. Our own dog is friendly and enjoys making new friends. Dogs use the fenced part of the yard for potty breaks. We hang out on the large back deck in warm wearher. We do not kennel dogs during the day unless the pet parent requests it when we are out doing errands. On walks, dogs are always on leash, unless they have excellent recall.

A typical day
We play fetch outside and in, work on skills training and obedience. We have a resident cat who keeps herself busy around the yard and generally avoids visitors, but she'll sometimes come around to see what everyone is up to. The dog(s) are always close by and we interact all day long. Everyone naps on the sofa in the evening before bed. ?

Availability
I work at home and take breaks to accommodate pets. My husband and I take dogs on walks along trails on leash, country roads, for swims in rivers and lakes, and on hikes in Kananaskis and other areas, if everyone is up to it and it isn't too hot or too cold outside.
