Pet care experience
This past year while the gyms were closed and we were all stuck at home I spent everyday walking my dogs outside. With the help of my two pups Gary and Gilbert I was able to lose 65 lbs. Now walking is part of my everyday routine. I am a USF graduate with my bachelor in Biomedical Studies. This summer I am studying for my dental school entrance exam so I will be stuck inside. Your dog and I will definitely need some fresh air and we can both be active! I have had a love for dogs since I was young. I currently have two Shih Tzus I have adopted, Gary & Gilbert. Gary is a happy boy who loves to make new friends. Gilbert wiggles with excitement and loves his brother Gary. They are two peas in a pod. I have adopted & cared for 3 senior dogs prior to having these two. They all lived long happy lives in my care. I am able to accommodate for senior and puppy care. I am home full time. Your pup will never be alone while you are away. I can easily adapt to your dogs specific routine! I am always connected to my phone, laptop, or smart watch so can quickly respond to messages. Photography is my hobby so expect lots of pictures as well as updates. I have a large backyard with a 6ft vinyl fencing. In the house the pets are allowed to roam wherever they find themselves comfortable. ***If you are booking me for walks with your dog they will be the only dog with me. We stay in your neighborhood and you are able to track our location while on our walk. At the end of our walk you will see a summary of our time, distance, and activity together.
Reviews
Excellent care! Our Zeus was happy and healthy when we picked him up. Would go with Doris in the future and refer her to a friend!!!
Couldn’t ask for a better sitter for my pups! Thank you!
We are so happy to have found Doris! From the start, our pups were so comfortable with her furbabies and her. She kept us informed with notes and pictures, and let us know when our pup with diabetes had his injections. Knowing they were so happy and well taken care of was a tremendous relief, and allowed us to enjoy our time away. We cannot recommend her highly enough!!
Doris was wonderful. This was the first time we have had someone board Gizmo in their home. She was very quick to put us at ease and sent us several pictures and updates of how much fun our buddy was having. Thank you Doris! We will book again.

In my home your pet is free to roam throughout the house. At night I usually have their bed placed in my room where I have another sliding door to access the backyard if needed.

PLEASE READ Meet & Greets will be scheduled prior to boarding. They are 15 minute appointment to tour where your dog will be staying. Please bring your dog to this meeting. For walks Meet & Greets are not required but always welcome, we will meet at your address. Please let me know any unwanted behaviors your dog may have so I am aware of during our time together. Your dog must not be aggressive to other dogs or people. When you arrive for boarding it is important you bring your dogs food, leash, and harness. You could also pack with them treats, bowls, toys, bed, and blankets. If you crate your dog please bring that with you.
A typical day
My dogs and I explore neighboring trails daily. Just across the way we visit Starkey Ranch, Asturia, and Bexley for walks. They love to watch otters and cranes from afar as well as lots of sniffs. On days with good weather we visit the North Pinellas Trail in Trinity and watch cows wander. We are also frequent visitors of the Tarpon Springs Dog Park, Gary and Gilbert make lots of friends there. Once a day at home Gary and Gilbert do an enrichment activity such as puzzles and lickimats. They provide them mental stimulation and help reduce anxiety. I like to have our guest dogs play with them too. They aid in calming your pups separation anxiety and help acclimate being in a new place. Favorites are frozen dog approved bone broth or homemade greek yogurt with blueberries and bananas. If your dog has food allergies or restricted from these foods you can provide their favorite treats & toys.

Availability
This summer I am studying for my Dental Entrance Exam to apply for dental school & become a dentist. It is a rigorous study schedule that has me home full time. Your dog will be spending lots of time with me and we will keep each other company. Every 1-2 hours you dog will have time to be outside in the fenced yard while I supervise. Depending on your dogs energy I like to take an hour walk in the evening and they can join me. I am only away from home about 1 hour a day for the gym or errands. Since I make my own schedule I have the liberty to come by for walks or drop ins anytime.
