Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and love them to the middle of their doggie hearts. I am that person walking by on the street who always smiles at your fur baby and asks if it's okay to give them some love. I can provide proof of Covid-19 vaccinations (Pfizer), I wear a face mask in public, and I wash my hands before/after basically everything. I talk to dogs and touch them when they allow me to. I always tell them what we're doing and try to interpret their expressions and actions, looking for connection. I think they know I'm trying! Whether its cuddles, playtime, medications, or sniffing every bush, tree and rock on our walks, let me know how I can help your dog stay happy and healthy.
Reviews
Dorian is a consummate professional and animal lover. From the moment that I met her, it was clear that she was the person to care for our husky. She made an immediate connection with our stubborn and shy dog. She is insured, bonded, and licensed. She follows-up immediately with correspondence and care for our dog has been impeccable and seamless. Thank you, Dory!
Dori was communicative, responsive, and thoughtful! This was our first time having a sitter in our home and felt very comfortable trusting Dori to take care of our girl while we were away.
Dorian was great to our pet as always! She communicated regularly and was flexible when we needed it.
Dori was great with our animals while we were away! One of our dogs recently had two TPLO surgeries, and she carefully followed all the complicated instructions (even clarifying the protocol when we accidentally left conflicting instructions and giving us a heads up about running low on his meds). When we came home, our space was cleaner than before we left. All in all, she rocks!

I offer pet-sitting services in your home, not mine. This is much less stressful for a dog than boarding them someplace else, and it is why I require a meet&greet before booking - so everyone can feel like we know each other a bit first. I know what questions to ask, and I always have a part of my mind on the fact that a fur baby is a sacred charge. It is my responsibility to follow your instructions, to keep your fur-babies safe and healthy, and to make them feel loved.
Information Dorian T. would like to know about your pet
NOTE: I require an in-person meet&greet before confirming a new client's first booking, so if you're new, please leave at least 3 days' wiggle room so we can make the meet&greet happen. It is important to know whether your dog is ok with me being in their territory, and if you are ok with me. I will also need to know ifyour dog will be ok with other people and other dogs (especially if we are supposed to be going to a dog park), whether they are squirrel/bunny/bird reactive, what kind of exercise they are used to, and whether they have any health issues.
A typical day
Chicago has so many parks and other great places to bring dogs to! First we'll explore your neighborhood, then once your pup gets used to me we'll go to your local park together (if you are okay with that!). I like to play fetch whenever possible, and to take dogs on "tours" of places they've never been to, just to watch the goggle-eyed look they get when they're trying to figure something out.

Availability
I am available to help dog-walking and drop-in clients Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am-5pm. For stays, I am available all week long. Outside of my work with dogs, I work part-time - mostly from my laptop. I'm big on nights in - I love snuggling with a furry friend while watching a movie! This means I will have plenty of time for your dog(s).
