We (my family) have had a dog for over 20 years -- Maltese, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Miniature Spitz, Poodle. We bred and raised Maltese and German Shepherd puppies for several years. After losing my last dog (Miniature Spitz) after 10 plus years, I have kept my daughters' six chihuahuas when they need help. I have kept them in their homes and sometimes bring them to my home. I have also kept friends' dogs in my home for days at a time. The dogs really enjoy my fenced back yard -- especially on a nice day when they can lie in the sun (while I watch them). I will give your dog LOTS of attention -- I'm home all day and have lots of time to play and talk with your dog!
