I grew up in the Countryside and have always had several pets to care for. I am a sensitive and caring person who will accommodate and consider your pets personalty and quirks. I have been told I have a commanding and down to earth presence, which seems to help animals feel secure with me. I am adaptable and happy to learn.

Excellent experience - The host Doonya was very friendly, introduced my dog Bella to hers, made sure she had its food, bedding, etc. She also kept in touch vis email and sent some photos of Bella. Her house is a bit out of the way but well worth the trip. Highly recommended. Denny from Balfour, BC
Doonya is easy to communicate with and considerate of your/ your pups needs. She’s a lover of nature and animals and her location makes her place an ideal place to board your pup! She has a fully fenced property so there’s lots of room for pups to run, play and relax! She is also located near lots of forest walking paths and creeks for pups to enjoy! Her daughter and dog (Sabian) are both great with my pup and my senior dog so they really are a great fit for dogs of any age.

I can welcome pets with good manners into my home. I have a shady orchard and covered porch with dog friendly couches. I will not kennel unless you bring your own and request specific training. I have a 4 year old daughter and nearly 2 year old Meremma/Mutt intact male who is a gentle dog. All pets who enter my home must be safe around children and cats. My daughter has been taught well about how to respect a pets personal space. I am happy to provide regular updates. Caring for your dog and the experiences we have are something I look forward to sharing with you. For the time being I wont be accepting pups under 1 years old. If you have a more mature calm dog who is younger I can consider.

A typical day
Plenty of beautiful forest and creek spots around my home. Depending on age and needs of dog of course. Typical day active dogs would include 1+ hrs of off leash hiking which always includes being near a creek to swim and hydrate. Once home, plenty of playing with Sabian and lounging on shady porch or in orchard. My door is always open too so affection and attention is never far away.

I can offer a variety of options for exercise. I have several Forest Service Roads near me, a variety of trails and creeks to visit. I can take them on an adventure according to their needs. Of course a balanced mix of home time and bonding. I do prefer dogs who are able to be off leash.
