I love stimulating and affectionate interaction with dogs. I find out what the pup and their owner(s) like and do not like including how they like their pups to be walked. I love to talk to and praise, show physical affection like hugs, do their favorite tricks or games, engage them and teach them new tricks or commands as owner approves. I have the above ongoing experience over the past 15 years with my daughter's three dogs. She had a male rescue pitt bull lab mix for 12 years and currently has a female rescue pitt bull boxer mix and a female rescue lab mix puppy. I extensively help her out with walking them, doing drop in visits, basic and advanced commands, and potty training the puppy. I am also an active volunteer dog walker and cuddler with the Wake County Animal Center. Working with pups is very good for me. I retired January 2018 from 38 years of government work and find interacting with dogs is good exercise, good mental and emotional stimulation, very uplifting for me and I believe I pass on this good energy to them as well :-) I am also a long time cat lover and am co-caring for my son's cat, a rescue maine coon mix.
