Going away for vacation or work has always been a stressful time for my husband and I. Only because we have always boarded our pups at their vet. My border collie had a traumatic experience while there and since then she has been aggressive towards other dogs. The boarder's solution to her was to keep her in a kennel and only take her out every three hours which only led to her getting triggered when in a kennel. We thought we had no other choice but to take her there and it broke our heart every time, knowing the hell she was probably going through and the fact that she was separated from her brother, Dublin. My mother needed help moving and I had to find a place for them. I knew that the boarding place they usually went to was not an option so I figured a house would be better. I set up a meeting with a Rover sitter. She was lovely and cared deeply for the dogs but she puppy sat multiple dogs at the same time. Our meeting didn't last 15 minutes, for Nola (my border collie), was showing signs of aggression and I left without a place for them to go. Desperate and heartbroken, praying I wouldn't have to take them back to that kennel, I messaged the first person I saw. And I am so very glad I did. When I spoke to Donna on the phone, I was letting her know of EVERYTHING that could happen since I knew that Nola and Dublin were not easy. She was confident and assured me that it wouldn't be an issue. If I were to be honest, I had my doubts since they are very unique in their needs. But as soon as we went over to Donna and Patrick's, my dogs went crazy with excitement. Dublin immediately made himself at home and Nola wanted to play with Donna. The only time I have seen them act this way is when I would visit my parents up in CT. They were immediately at ease and Donna and Patrick were so wonderful from the moment my pups came into their lovely home. After everything that my husband and I have gone through with the other boarder, it was hard for me not to tear up from relief. They were so very good about sending videos and pictures even though I warned them I might not have internet or a signal (I was in St. Croix). I can honestly say that was the first time I didn't feel guilty about leaving them with somebody. For once, I was able to focus on relaxing (or in this case, helping my mom). I cannot say enough about Donna and Patrick. They are so amazing and patient. I will forever be grateful for them and the love they showed to Nola and Dublin. They are now my favorite sitters and I will always recommend them to anyone who asks! Thank you guys so much, you are beautiful people and my dogs absolutely love you!

Donna and Pat loved my baby as much as I do for 4 days while I was out of town for a wedding. They sent lots of pictures and included her in their family like she is when she’s home with me. I’m really grateful to have found a safe spot for my pup when I’m away!!
