Pet care experience
I grew up loving all animals, dogs and cats were just a natural part of the family. Over the years, I have been blessed to have a number of dogs, cats and birds as beloved members of my own family. Many of the animals I took in were rescues in dire straits, needing physical healing, and behavioral rehab. Last year, my sweet, shy, husky mix (Ganesha) passed away at 16 years old. She was preceded by her best friend, a border collie mix (Prince), who passed at over 17 years old. Prince was a bit of a senior celebrity on my block, since he insisted on his daily meet and greet walks, despite needing a helper harness in his last days. It will be some time before I am ready to bring a new furry friend into my family. In the meantime, allow me to shower your dog with my patience, care and compassion. I am confident that my years of experience with shy/ fearful dogs, special needs seniors, and mischievous pups will come in handy with your canine companion.

Donna is just the greatest! Her care for our dog family and home are beyond expectations. She is deeply caring and detail-oriented, as well as being a great communicator. We received updates and photos on a regular basis and returned to two happy and healthy pups. I recommend her to you without reservation and only hope that her calendar doesn’t get so booked that we miss out on having stay here for our next trip!
It was my first time leaving my dog, Bella, with anyone outside the family for an overnight so I was apprehensive. Bella’s shy with strangers, but a mutual friend recommended Donna and assured me that she is a huge dog lover, who would take great care of her. It gave me peace of mind to receive real time updates with pictures about Bella’s status. I arrived home earlier than planned and was happily surprised to see that my cocker spaniel, Bella was relaxed and besties with her sitter. Definitely would recommend Donna to care for your shy pup!

I have a large fenced yard to play fetch with your dog and a quiet, safe neighborhood for walking. I plan to keep your pet free roaming inside my home, with supervised play in the fenced yard, but leashed at all times when leaving my property or yours. Currently, there are no dogs on my property since my senior husky passed last year.

I like to know of any and all behavioral, physical or health challenges up front so there are no surprises. Please inform me if your dog is an escape artist, has allergies or has aggressions towards any types of other animals or people. Is there a preferred eating, walking and sleep routine? Are there special toys and games that your dog loves? Any information that will help me keep your pup’s normal, comfort routine while you are away is always helpful.
A typical day
I like to tailer activities to each dog’s unique abilities, needs and preferences. Frequent potty breaks, 2-3 daily walks and exercise according to energy level and ability. One on one play time depends on each pups preference for fetch, tug of war, or more mental challenges with that include commands and tricks.

I'm currently working part time weekends, so I am available for lots of extra play and exercise time with your dog on weekdays. I can do scheduled walks, play and feeding on weekends in an emergency If needed.
