Pet care experience
Have grown up with dogs, rabbits and spent my time riding horses. We made a decision over 7 years ago to relocate and give up my stressful job for a slower and more enjoyable pace of life. We have a Border Collie named Harley who is 7 years old and is full of love and licks! We have a Blue Merle Border Collie called Merlin who is 5 and our youngest Collie Blake who is 3. We also have 4 cats, an array of chickens and ducks, 2 miniature Shetlands, 1 standard Shetland, 1 Welsh Section D and an Appaloosa x cob. We have a large secure garden of over 1 acre and also have a 3 acre field. We have lots of beautiful walks on our doorstep with the beach in walking distance too! Apart from our furry and feathered little loves, our family consists of myself, my husband, 26 year old daughter and our son who is 18. I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone else and feel confident that we will provide a warm loving environment. After a break during covid we are now getting into boarding but we only accept 1/2 dogs from the same family at any one time. This allows us to enjoy the time with your dog(s) and our own. We are a smoke free home.
Reviews
This was my first time leaving my dog behind whilst I went abroad. Donna was amazing as I felt confident that she would ensure he was happy .Communication was great and she came to meet him a few weeks prior to make sure they liked each other . Thank goodness they did as he had the best time with Donna. Donna kept me posted daily with photo and texts this meant I could relax knowing he was also having a lovely time . Donna treated my dog like one of her own , he enjoyed beach walks , chilled time and got to socialise. I feel that Donna has a good understanding of dogs and their behaviour and is very confident handling them . I would 100% recommend Donna to care for your dog especially if you are trepidatious and worry about leaving them .
Donna did such an amazing job looking after my precious pup. I got lots of lovely updates and felt safe in the knowledge that Peggy was in safe hands. I highly recommend.
Donna was brilliant! So friendly and helpful and accommodating. Pickle was so happy there! Thank you! So amazing to be able to leave your dog and fully relax as you know he is in great hands and being given so much love!
Donna was absolutely the right choice for us! We booked a few days boarding whilst holidaying in Cornwall, having not been able to pre-meet before the stay Donna made me feel at ease as soon as we arrived. The updates we received showed Willow both relaxed and happily playing. If we ever revisit the area (which I'm sure we will!) I wouldn't hesitate on re-booking and I'm sure that Willow would be super excited to stay with Donna and her beautiful dogs again! Thank you!

If your booking is for a house sit in your home, we stay in your home and stick to your required routine whilst also looking after your home and keeping it clean and tidy. Many owners prefer this option as their pet gets to stay in their own environment and it’s additional security rather than leaving your home unoccupied during your holiday or time away from home.

Information Donna D. would like to know about your pet
It is really important that I know all about your dogs and/or other animals ahead of my care. This is for the benefit of your beloved animals and me so that we can ensure our time together is well spent. This can be anything from their daily rituals and fun things they like to do to their dislikes and any possible behavioural issues. A free meet and greet beforehand is always carried out where possible.
A typical day
When looking after your animals I ensure they are stimulated according to their needs. When dog walking, I ensure that your dog(s) are taken to safe, stimulating environments such as the beach, and gorgeous countryside walks. All dogs are kept on lead until safe to remove and prior consent received from you as owners.
