Home-grown animal lover!
Pet care experience
I have grown up with 3 or more dogs in my house at any given time for my entire life! I started my own pet-sitting business at the ripe old age of 7, eventually graduating to working at and managing a boarding kennel for the past eight years. When it comes to animal care, I’ve seen it all! I have experience in grooming and bathing, medication administration for even the trickiest of dogs and cats (including insulin shots), food preparation to any criteria (we hand mix all sorts of rice, dry and wet foods, and treats galore at the kennel), and general care taking. In addition to this, I was an area coordinator and volunteer puppy raiser for The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind for 5 years eventually being hired on full time as the Athens area puppy advisor! I currently oversee the care and training of every single yellow-vested future service dog in Athens. I graduated from the University of Georgia with my bachelors in Social Work in May of 2020, and now live in Athens full-time spoiling my two pups and every dog back on the cross absolutely rotten.
Reviews
Donna has TONS of experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and strengths! She is so knowledgeable about dog behavior, and she is so fun and easy to work with! Your dog could not be in better hands!
I would trust Donna with my dogs any day!! She’s an incredible person and truly a dog lover through and through. She has the perfect balance between spoiling and loving on dogs while also making sure they are respectful and behaving. There is no one I would trust more than her to take care of my dogs!!
Donna is EXCELLENT with dogs!! I have worked with her for the past 3 years in a service dog training organization and her knowledge and experience is phenomenal. Giving dogs the love, care and attention they need is not only her talent, but her occupation. I 100% trust her to take care of my furry kid anytime and would recommend her to anyone!
If I had to leave my dog with anyone in the world, Donna is the person I would chose. She loves dogs and knows more than anyone about their behaviors and any sort of medical problem that could arise. Diarrhea? Donna knows what to do. Sever anxiety? Donna knows how to read dog body language and will do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in her power to make that pup feel safe and comfortable.

Information Donna B. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences or care-taking specifications. With my years at a family run boarding kennel, I have gained great experience in grooming, medication administration (including insulin), food preparation to any criteria, and general care taking. I can promise you your pets will be trated as though they are my own. I will learn their tendencies and quirks, the things they love most (toys, games, scratching spots, nicknames, treats, etc.), and the things their furry booties just cannot stand (as to avoid them of course!). My only request is that your pups be dog friendly as I have two released guide dogs of my own. I can't wait to become a part of your family!
A typical day
We will walk to local parks or on trails, Georgia weather provided. Fetch, chase, cuddling, any of your pet's wildest dreams will become reality when mom and dad are away, provided we stay within your limits! Energetic dogs give way to energetic games, but I love a good snuggler too! My apartment has a dog park located just feet away from my back door, and I’m five minutes away from Sandy Creek Park!
