Pets and caring for animals have been an integral part of my life as far back as I can remember. We don’t have any pets at home, as we are still recovering from losing our most recent fur baby a couple of years ago. We are a family of three, and all dog lovers! Every pup we have hosted gets abundant love, attention, and snuggles. I have a lot of experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with specific medical needs. If your pet has any special needs or care requirements they will be in capable hands with me in our home. I aim to create a warm, supportive atmosphere and treat all dogs who enter our home as family, with a highly personalized approach. I have experience training my dogs over the years, learning from professional trainers, and maintaining training and consistency with client’s dogs. Donielle is an amazing, person. She really is wonderful with pets, and children to. She has a great deal of experience in the realm of pets with special needs. Be it a nervous pet that needs reassuring and a blanket on the couch. Or medication at the proper time for pets that have a prescription regimen. She is attentive, caring, understanding, courteous and professional. My dog is always overjoyed to see her, I certainly can't give a better endorsement than that!

Our single-level detached home features a spacious fenced backyard, offering security and ample space for your pets to play safely. We have a secure gate as well to prevent any potential escapes. Despite our fenced yard, I don't leave pets unsupervised. I am always present either outside with them, observing from my back windows, or through our backyard camera. Before accepting dogs for boarding, I will assess their behavior and temperament are compatible with our home environment. This is not only for the safety and happiness of our family but also ensures that your dog will be healthy and content in our care. Our home provides a clean, safe, comfortable environment where potentially harmful objects or substances are stored out of reach. We use primarily plant-based cleaning products to maintain a safe environment for our family and yours. Additionally, I can provide crate accommodation if needed; an extra large crate is available upon request.

I like to do a thorough overview of your dog so that I can make sure everything goes smoothly Health: - Is your dog up to date on vaccines? - Are they one a consistent flea preventive? - Any special medical needs need to be discussed so I can accommodate them accordingly Behavior: - How is your dog with young children? Have they had much exposure to them and do you have any concerns? We have a 5-year-old daughter and it is important to me that I know how your dog is around young kids. She is a sweet and gentle soul who loves to help with care and provide lots of snuggles, so her safety is my top priority. She is good at respecting their space and needs but I cannot have a dog in my home that is a concern in this area. - How are they with other dogs? - Do they experience separation anxiety? - What is their car behavior? Do they enjoy car rides? - Is there anything that will trigger your dog - Are they leash trained? - Any other behavioral information I should be aware of Temperament: - Is your dog more of a lazy bones or do they prefer higher levels of activity - Does your dog like to talk a lot (bark, etc) or are they more of the strong and silent type? - Any other things I might want to know about their personality Routine: - I need to know if your dog is crate trained, or if you leave them out if you need to go somewhere. I am a student and will occasionally have to leave for a few hours at a time. I have an extra large crate for use upon request. **Will not be left for more than 3.5 hours at a time** - Feeding routine - Exercise routine - Potty routine - Sleep routine

Our typical day entails stimulating activities like walks, dog parks, or just playing in our large fenced-in backyard tailored to your pup's needs. I enjoy taking our guests for car rides (if appropriate) if I need to go somewhere. For example, the last dog that stayed with us went to school drop-off with my daughter every morning and she loved it! Your dog can expect an abundance of snuggles and love in between!

Availability
I am currently a full-time college student and my schedule allows me to be home for most of the day making lots of time for play and cudddles. Our families schedule during the week is consistent as we all thrive on routine! My schedule below is applicable through May 3rd 2024 and after this, I will either be taking online summer classes or on summer break through August 31st. Monday: 11:40am-3:00pm (total time away 3 hours + 20 minutes) Tuesday: 8:45am-3:00pm (total time away 6 hours + 20 minutes **Please note that this is my longest day, and I typically come home after my lab to grab lunch around 11:00am and am able to play, walk or give a potty break during this time) Wednesday: 11:40am-3:00pm (total time away 3 hours + 20 minutes) Thursday: 11:40am-3:00pm (total time away 3 hours + 20 minutes) Friday: No classes Saturday: No classes Sunday: No classes I am available for boarding Monday-Friday for owners whose animals can be crated or left alone for approximately 3.5 hours at a time. I have a camera in my home used to monitor my furry guests while I am away, whether they are crated or free to roam. This allows me to make sure they are not experiencing too much stress or other concerns in my absence. On weekends, we love being an active family and are happy to take your dog along for adventures such as long drives, hikes, and visits to the park as long as it suits the comfort level of the dog and owner. However, if your pet prefers staying at home or gets anxious in the car, I'm more than willing to cater to their needs by providing activities that match their comfort level such as gentle walks around the neighborhood, playing in the backyard, or simply cuddling up on the couch for some quality bonding time.
