I’m a grad student who works from home in the heart of Adams Morgan. Every day I take a break (or two) to walk around the neighborhood, get away from my computer, and think about my research in the fresh air. Rather than find a rescue dog who needs a home to walk with me (tempting), maybe I can find some dogs who have homes but need a walk! **Note: sometimes this app messes up my billing (especially with cats/multiple pets). If it looks like the bill is way too high, fear not! I will gladly adjust the total price prior to confirming our appointment.** I had always been a devout dog person, but I recently moved in with a cat and fostered a kitten who totally melted my heart, so I am happy to care for all of your critters. My friends will tell you that I have an uncanny knack for dogs - able to control big/young/wild ones, or make myself approachable to the most fearful rescue. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone say “wow! They usually hate tall guys” as their dog leans into my legs with a wag of approval. I also know what it’s like to be a pet owner, and strive to help you feel assured that your pets are well cared for while you’re busy bringing home the bacon (even if it is dried and shelf-stable bacon). I’m not going to rush your pet to poop or yank them if they reallllly want to sniff that thing and of course I will give them all the pets and affection and snacks that they deserve. I am also a fan of training pets to be their best selves, so if you are working on anything in particular I will be happy to keep things consistent while they’re learning. Finally, this app wouldn’t let me upload my (extensive) collection of selfies with animals yawning/with their tongues out so you will just have to take my word that I will send you the funniest picture of your critter that I can pick from the literally 50 that I will probably take.
