Wooftastic Animal Care
Pet care experience
Hello Dog Lovers ❤️🐕 Caring for your furry companion is a RESPONSIBILITY and a PRIVILEGE I do not take lightly. I have been working with animals for over 20 years. I grew up taking care of all animals including rabbits, dogs, cats and even horses. I am happy to care for your pet as I would my own. I enjoy volunteering at the pet shelters and helping ensure animals receive the best care possible. Whether it’s nonstop frisbee, going on a long walk or sunbathing together by the pool they will have a Wooftastic time! Please feel free to ask any questions or request a meeting at your convenience. I am flexible in scheduling and available to care for your pet or pets whenever it is needed. I know just too well how hard it can be to find someone trustworthy and knowledgeable to care for our beloved companions. While I am able to care for many pets at a time, I choose to limit service to a smaller number to ensure each pet receives plenty of time and care. I also only accept one family of pets at a time to ensure loving home for their staycation. Your dog(s) must have received all their vaccinations. Animals open a door to my heart like nothing else does. I love to care for them which means providing exercise, meal time, cuddle time and play time always under a watchful eye with safety in mind. 🐕 Fluramie, my wife, and I are very grateful for the joy they bring us. I am a stay-at-home animal fur friend which means your dog will always have company. All my activities are at home so your furry companion will always be with me and/or with Fluramie. We call it a day early at Don’s den so if you are contacting me after 9pm I will reply to you the following morning. I am a caring and professional retired military member that enjoys working and caring for all types of animals. I started pet-sitting dogs many years ago and after retiring started being a full time pet-sitter over 10 years ago. I am always working on a project of some kind to beautify my living environment. My home is alcohol, drug and cigarette free. Fluramie and I live in a house where our guest dogs enjoy a den feeling that brings them a sense of comfort and security. We have a large back yard enclosed with a 7 foot block wall. It is shaded with large trees and a pool for them to jump in with us if they wish to. I NEVER leave dogs unattended outside. They are always with me. Whereever I go, my little pack goes :) And I love every minute of it! ❤️ Your pooch will not be fed any food that is not ok with you. I offer only Spring or distilled water. Exercise is a priority! I love going on walks so unless instructed otherwise, we go for a stroll early morning and early evening. I am well aware of possible wildlife or loose dogs encounters. I am extremely vigilant about our surroundings on walks so I can be prepared to take appropriate action. I received my certification with the Red Cross organization for dog CPR in 2010. I have experience with the administration of insulin shots and medications. I volunteer at the Rescue Center helping with meal preparation for about 50 dogs, kennel sanitizing, teeth brushing and walking those gorgeous dogs awaiting to be adopted. I am very much looking forward to meeting you and your companions. 🐕❤️🐾 I am 100% devoted to the care of my guest dogs. They are all precious to me. I must say, seniors hold a special place in my heart. Our routine is potty first thing in the morning, every 3 hours throughout the day and just before bedtime. I love to go for walks early morning and early evening so we can all get our daily exercise. When we go for longer walks, I bring water. We play fetch throughout the day and take nappy breaks. For senior dogs I always provide a quiet space for their longer naps. I serve breakfast, dinner and a midday snack. Each dog is provided privacy at meal time. In the evening we all cuddle together until bedtime. 🥰 I do not leave dogs outdoors by themselves nor do I crate them unless requested by owner for the night. Exercise is always a good way to help dog relieve stress, there is nothing like a walk to help a new boarder feel more comfortable. I have a lot of respect for dogs, I never impose myself to them, when they are ready and feel confident they come to me. Usually when they see me give love they come to me for a nice belly scratch and all is well. 😀❤️🐕 Hoping to meet you and your canine companion soon! 🐾🦮❤️
Reviews
This was our first time leaving our 3 year old Pyrenees with anyone else. I chose Don based both on his detailed profile and his house environment when we had our 'meet and greet'. I was looking for someone who would not be watching other dogs too. Don and his wife takes care of only one dog (or dogs in a family) at a time. He is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and training. Don and his family were EXCEPTIONAL. We had daily updates and photos and our dog felt right at home being able to roam their home and yard and be part of their family. We picked her up today and she is pouty she had to leave them (they have a pool!). If you want to feel completely relaxed on your vacation, choose Don. It's the ultimate caring and secure place for your doggie!
Our pups were in the very best hands at Don’s home! We were hosting a party and I was so busy, but I didn’t have to have to make time to worry about Olive and Lucy because they had their own party with Don and his family! We are so happy to have found him and will definitely bring our pups back for more visits. Thank you Don!
Don and his family were fantastic. Took great care of Rex. He loved his stay and would be happy to go back again. Thank you!!
I could not have dreamed of or asked for better service. Don is an excellent care provider with extensive knowledge. Our boy Charlie stayed for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier at my home. He was so happy and "uninterrupted". We are so grateful for your professional service!

The way you care for them I will mirror whether it be commands, daily routines, play time and bedtime routines. If they take medicine I will follow the instructions and provide what they need while also understanding and watching for potential reactions that may occur. I have a form to complete to ensure I know information about them and also any quirks they may have.

Information Don B. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know everything! The more I know the better I can care for him/her. I must know about her/his health condition like allergies, seizures, special diet, social skills with people and with dogs, routine, likes and dislikes. Communication between the dog owner and myself is KEY. I have a form I ask to have filled out about the animals that will be in my care. This ensures I have the necessary information on meds, feeding, quirks they may have and things they enjoy doing along with specific instructions on care. I also ask for Vet info and for a shot record. All pets get sick at times just like people. This ensures their safety and well being while they are home on staycation.
A typical day
First stroll, early morning in my neighborhood, in the afternoon we go to a gorgeous park nearby and before bed time a last pottie in the backyard. We have many nice parks close by that I like to go with the dogs. I always wipe the paws of the dogs after a walk with a warm cloth to remove excess dirt that they don't need in their bellies. Whenever it is needed to take my car, it is parked in my garage, the dogs jump in and there we go. Same thing when we come back, first I park in the garage, close the garage door and then let the dogs out. Communication is KEY. Please let me know if you have restrictions about walks or car rides. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where ever he/she is most comfortable. It may be that he/she is not allowed on your bed at home so I will respect your directives. Communication is KEY
