Lots of Experience and Tons of Love
Pet care experience
My own four-legged "kids" are my World!!! Pets are Family, I treat Client's Pets the way I'd want my own Dogs and Cats to be responsibly treated- with Respect, Kindness, Dignity, and Love. Providing a high standard of care is what I love about being a Petsitter - and making new Four-legged friends! I truly enjoy being able to provide a service that helps Pets and their Humans! I have been walking Dogs and Petsitting since I was 16 years old. At age 18 I was employed full-time at a busy Animal Hospital in Illinois (before moving to Georgia) as Receptionist and Groomers' Assistant. I learned to quickly recognize Health emergencies and became familiar with common diseases and ailments of Companion Animals and developed an ongoing interest in Canine and Feline Health. As a Sitter, if a Pet is sick or injured, I am able to quickly reckognize it and know when a situation warrants Veterinary attention or a fast response. After my work at the Veterinary Hospital, I began my study and involvement in Canine Obedience Training and Behavioral Rehabilitation, which I continue today. As a Sitter, my Training and Behavioral knowledge helps me to safely and constructively handle all kinds of Dogs - hyper, shy, dominant, "difficult" (I believe all Dogs are GOOD Dogs!). Of course, it has happened that an Owner has come home to their Dog knowing a new trick... Treat Training is a really fun way to spend time with Dogs... and they tend to love it. Win win! My best qualification might be- I have many years experience as an Owner (read: "Mom") of my own Dogs, Cats, Birds, Fish, and even a couple Fancy Rats. Currently, I have two large Rottweiler Mixes, a Chihuahua Mix, and three very spoiled Cats. They are my Heart on four legs. I believe in open, honest communication- if something is wrong- you will know right away! Owners always know exactly how their Pets are doing. I send regular Text or Picture updates as often as is requested. Owners are -always- welcome to call anytime to check in for peace of mind during Visits! Nail Trims, Ear Cleaning, Brushing, and a Bath are free during Extended/Overnight Sittings. I use my own sanitized tools (or the Clients, whichever is preferred), use tasty treats, and take time to build trust so Pets can relax and enjoy their "spa" time! I don't mind working with shy/hesitant Pets! I leave homes as tidy as I find them, and am happy to collect Mail, receive deliveries, water Plants/Garden, and am able to transport mobile Pets to/from Veterinary appointments during extended visits if needed/ requested (for Transport service, I ask a small fee to compensate for driving distance). Please know, I am unable to safely lift Pets or items weighing over 40 lbs. without assistance. If you are interested in booking a Visit or Overnight Stay/House sitting for your Pet, a "Meet and Greet" is free of charge, so you and your Pet(s) can meet me before the date of your Booking, and details of care can be discussed (meal times, location of Pet's food, etc.). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Dominique was amazing!! She was very responsive throughout every step of the process. She sent me photos of my sweet babes! She gave me great advice when I told her we were thinking about adding another puppy to the family. She even gave my pup a bath, trimmed her nails, and cut her hair. When we returned from our trip, our house was exactly how we'd left it. I could barely tell she was there! I am so excited that I found such a friendly, knowledgeable, and clean (the list could go on) pet sitter! We ultimately did decide to get a puppy and I feel confident about hiring Dominique to train her.
Dominique was absolutely sensational. She house sat and took care of our 4 dogs, 3 cats and rabbit better than we could have ever expected. She took the time to interact with all of them and did some additional training with Otto, our Mastiff, that is already paying dividends. She kept us updated on all of them each and every day so that we could relax and enjoy our mini vacation without any worries whatsoever. We will use her again and often, as we couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job than what she did. The dogs adore her and were sorry to see her leave. Great job Dominique and thank you so very much. Roger and Connie
Couldn't be happier! Dominique went far and beyond my expectations in care for my pets! I have three dogs ( two elderly) and a cat which were groomed and very happy upon my return. It was obvious they adored her. She is highly knowledgeable in dog care, dietary tips, and grooming. I would highly recommend Dominique!
Dominique was a great sitter for us! We realized last minute that we would have to be traveling over the holidays and were scared we would not have a sitter, however Dominique came to the rescue. She was very flexible with us as we were still planning our trip, and was very easy to work with. The cats also seemed to love her. She sent us several updates and pictures to let us know our kitties were safe and sound. We would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a sitter.

Information Dominique J. would like to know about your pet
As much as possible! I like to know about any Health or Behavioral issues, activity preferences, special Games or Toys, and the Pet's typical Daily Routines. Maintaining Daily Routines helps Pets' relax and adjust to being cared for while their Owners are away! I also like to have a trusted alternate/secondary Emergency Contact Number, and contact information for the Pet's Veterinarian. The more I know, the better I can provide the best care possible.
A typical day
I tailor and adjust activities around the Pets' energy needs, and any special requests from their Humans! Playing Fetch, Tug o' War, Long Walks, Jogging around the block or exploring in a Natural Recreation Park, Brushing/Grooming, even learning a new trick with Treat Training- there is always a way to make Visits enjoyable and rewarding for Pets! If I am booked for an Hour to Walk a Dog, my standard distance is a Mile, to give Dogs a chance to fully stretch their legs and excersize. I utilize a Pedometer app to share my location and distance with Owners. Some Pets- Seniors, Special Needs Pets, Cats- need more cuddles than exersize, and I am happy to oblige!
