Let me start out by saying that Dominique was super friendly and always extremely nice to our dog for the weekend she helped watch him! Coast is a high drive large dog, and i recognize that he needs someone who can understand his commands and is confident with such an intelligent breed (german shepherd). I wish that i could say Dominique nailed that, but I do feel that Coast was a bit too much dog for her. Unfortunately, I had to take one star off my rating because i wish that Dominique would have come to our meet and greet more prepared to take notes about his commands, rules, and my requests for his visits. Following our meet and greet we even went so far as to write everything down on a long note on the counter, just so she would have it to help remember because she did not take any notes herself. Even with our written instructions though, rules and requests were only halfway followed and it led to several situations where Coast tried to bolt out the door, was barking, and led to stressful visits. We also explicitly requested he not be taken to the dog park but then received in one of his Rover reports that she took him to the dog park. She also was not familiar with how to use a prong collar, even though i asked her ahead of time and she said she was. I could see on the cameras a struggle every single visit to adjust and try to figure out how to use the prong (which was put on incorrectly every walk). A second star was lost because Dominique brought (who i assume was) her boyfriend into my house and around my dog without asking ahead of time or ever even mentioning it. We have in home cameras and could see he was over multiple times. This was not only extremely unprofessional, rude, and instrusive of our privacy. But could also be a safety concern if my dog happened to have a tendency to not like strange males he hasnt met. This endangered not only my dog, but also Dominique and her friend. It crosses so many lines on so many levels. Had she mentioned or asked if her boyfriend could join her visits, i of course would have invited him to our meet and greet ahead of time. Aside from the issues mentioned above, she fulfilled the need for someone to come walk, feed, and water our dog while we were out of town. She was prompt, on time, and always spent the full 30 minutes of the visit at our home! If you have a small or low drive dog, i do think Dominique would be great! However, large intelligent working breed dogs might not be a great fit.

First time user of Rover, and found the best sitter, Dominique - with 3 dogs, one a new puppy, and a last minute need for someone to drop in on my pups, Dominique was awesome. She was prompt with booking and confirming times, and very easy going with nuances of taking care of things even though we had never met. She arrived promptly and as scheduled and the booked day, and messaged me with information on how they were doing and sent pics. I was so impressed, I booked Dominique for the next day as my work schedule prevented me from spending the normal time with the dogs that I do. It was clear on both booking occasions the dogs were well cared for and enjoyed play time. Will use again.
