Pet care experience
We are young, responsible, energetic professionals. Dominic is a teacher and a Cross Country/ Track & Field Coach in the Leavenworth School District. Janni is a sales agent for Armed Forces Insurance. Both have earned degrees from Pittsburg State University. We have a very tidy home, with plenty of space, and a fenced-in backyard. It is a safe, secure home, protected by ADT. We try to exercise our dogs by walking/ jogging and playing in the yard each day. We are a fun house with plenty of good-quality dog toys for all sized dogs. We listed no dogs on the bed/ Furniture, but that is relative to the size/ type of dog (we let our small/ hypo-allergenic Yorkies on bed/ Furniture, but not our larger/ shedding Collie.) The beauty of having us as your fur-children sitters, is that most often, you will get TWO sitters who love dogs and will treat your dogs with love and respect so that EVERYONE is having an enjoyable experience. We have trusted our pup-kids to sitters before and one thing we always appreciate is updates on how they are doing, along with pictures/ videos of all the fun/ relaxing they may be doing. You can expect the same from us! We, and our pups, look forward to meeting new furry friends!

Is your dog potty-trained?: Because we value cleanliness within our home, dogs must be potty-trained, but also preferrably crate trained for cases we temporarily be away. Is your dog comfortable with other dogs? We prefer dogs we watch to be well-socialized, so that this environment is comfortable for both your dogs and ours! NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS, PLEASE, as we want to keep the small dogs in our home safe.) Does your dogs have any personality traits we should know about? So we can assure your dog is comfortable, safe, and enjoying their stay, we would like to know any fears or quirks they have! Does your dog have any diet restrictions? We feed our dogs Purina Dog Chow. I want to make sure it is not an issue, because sometimes dogs like to taste a buddy’s dinner! This will also valuable information because sometimes we like to give our pups treats, bones, and Pup Cups from Sonic or Freddy’s. Has your dog been treated for fleas? We don’t want to spread those little vermin’s that like to crawl on pups in our home, pups, or any other guests. Has your dog been treated for rabies? To insure everyone’s safety involved, it will be valuable to know when your rabies shot expires. Any physical/ travel restrictions? Our dogs love to play, go on walks, and go to parks! We want to make sure your doggie is good-to-go wether it be I playful wrestle with a friend, a car ride to the park, or a run on the sidewalk. Arrangements can potentially be made to accommodate to your pup if there are any restrictions. We want to get to know your best friend! So any information you feel would be valuable for us as we spend time with your dog, and can enhance their experience with us, please let us know!
A typical day
We love spending time with our dogs, wether it be lounging indoors giving them a belly rub, or playing outside in the backyard! Activities like fetch, tug of war, and chase are mainstays in this house! You can expect daily 20-30 min walks through the neighborhood, or visits to the dog park! (We have a small fenced-in dog area in our neighborhood, but we also visit the dog park in Shawnee Mission Park!)
