Madison Dog Dad
Pet care experience
I’m based in Madison Valley, and have had dogs/animals near my entire life. I love animals—small to large—and dog sit frequently. I live in a 1500sq ft home (mostly on the main level), with a fully fenced backyard for dogs to play and roam endlessly. I often visit nearby off-leash fenced dog parks, including some swimming areas in the summertime (owner permitting for either). My house has central AC, which is perfect to prevent over heating on those hot summer days (especially dogs with breathing problems). My dog (Archer) is an adult vizsla, who’s extremely well socialized and gets along well with all dogs/people. He adjusts to match each dog’s preference and energy. Prior to Archer, I grew up with lots of animals (dogs, cats, ducks, etc), so quite familiar with various play styles and personalities. NOTE: I don’t sit for unneutered/unspayed or XL (>100lb) dogs. Any dog <=18 months old will pay the puppy rate. I host a maximum of 3 dogs (including Archer) at a time. Once a booking is confirmed, I’ll share a questionnaire to ensure I’m providing the best service for your little one.
Reviews
We had a really great experience with Dominic - he took great care of our dog and was overall a great communicator while we were away for the weekend. Sunny had lots of fun with Archer and we had no worries while we were away for the weekend. We plan to keep Dominic at the top of our list for our future boarding needs!
Dominic took great care of our Belgian Malinois. She needs lots of exercise and stimulation and Dominic provided that. He was very communicative and sent pictures of the dog to keep us updated!
Dominic was amazing! Incredibly professional and so kind with my energetic pup and provides the most lovely updates to make sure I knew she was doing great! Such a great feeling knowing your pup is in such great care!
Dominic was great! Super flexible especially when our plans changed too. Frankie had a great time!

Safety, trust & environment
In my house, I always maintain an active stance around dog safety. Outside, my backyard is fully fenced. Inside, I keep all food and cleaning items stored away and out of paws-reach. When new dogs meet each other, I always supervise their interactions for the first while to ensure they’re bonding well. Each dog is fed separately, to avoid any risk of resource guarding.

Information Dominic D. would like to know about your pet
I love to know your dogs behavioural tendencies (or issues/concerns), their social tendencies and habits with other dogs, their feeding schedule, medication requirements, allergies, park preferences and bathroom schedule. I have specific questions I ask of every person in advance of a drop, to ensure we’re aligned and your dog gets the best treatment :) NOTE: I don’t sit for unneutered/unspayed or XL (>100lb) dogs. Any dog <=18 months old will pay the puppy rate.
A typical day
I (as does Archer) love to do longer walks, runs, snuggles/scratches, and fetch...whatever suits the furry fella. We typically do a 30min walk around 7am, before my work day commences. Throughout the day we do several walks, have playtime upstairs and/or outside, and always do an evening walk around 7-8pm. I’m happy to entertain whatever requests or preferences you have.

Availability
Schedule wise, I work a M-F (8-530) style job. I work virtually from home often, and go into the office 2-3 days a week. My schedule is flexible, hence you’ll see fluctuations in my calendar. There may be days that I need to visit the office for 2-4 hours for meetings, requiring the pup to remain home with Archer (and be well potty trained). If that may occur, I will communicate that to you prior to confirming a booking. Pee breaks are available anytime during the day when Im home. I never work the weekend. Regardless of my time in office, I maintain an active lifestyle and target 2hrs of outdoor activity per day (Archer is an active fella).
