Pet care experience
As someone who has had my own pets over the years and cared for other people's pets locally (some for over a decade) I understand how pets are members of your family. I take seriously the instructions you give me for caring for your pet (meds, permitted foods, exercise, grooming). I understand how exercise improves a pet's behavior and I am a walker myself. I have experience in administering meds to dogs in a gentle way, to keep trust between me and the pet. I have experience taking care of multiple dogs within a household. I have experience getting dogs to the vet if they don't want to go (planning ahead time wise, using treats, keeping the experience positive.) I don't spoil pets by letting them do things they aren't allowed to do when pet owners are home.

Dolores is my number one go to for pet sitting. she loves and takes care of my three dogs as if they were her own. Her love for all pets is apparent. She often shares cute animal stories about other furry clients of hers. Upon returning from a particularly long trip, I was so happy to find my pups calm, happy, well cared for and no accidents! When I can't bring them along on vacations, I'm glad they can stay home and not have to endure the stress of being borded! I know Dolores also cares for pets on a day to day basis for clients with busy work schedules. I highly recommend her services.

I like to know what might frighten them so I don't do it and be prepared to comfort the dog when needed (during loud thunder and lightning storms, 4th of July, etc.) I like to know if the dog is a rescue and may have trust issues with females based on a past bad experience. I like to know what foods are okay to give the dog.
A typical day
I pay attention to your animals when you can't. I talk to them, sing to them, play with them using their toys and take them out for walks and potty time. I usually walk in the neighborhood the dog lives in, if possible, unless the owner has a different preference. I want the dog walk in familiar places so he/she feels safe.
