Dog-Sitting by Becca
Pet care experience
Hey! I'm Becca, and I would love to spend some time with your dogs! I grew up with pet dogs, and currently live with two dogs that belong to my roommates. I've been petsitting for friends and private clients for years, and decided to take my petsitting to the next level on Rover!
Reviews
Rebecca was absolutely fantastic with our four dogs. One of them stopped eating after we left and Rebecca did her best to keep him engaged and fed. She kept me updated every step of the way and I cannot thank her enough for going over and beyond!
Becca was fantastic! She watched my energetic and sometimes defensive dog, Bear, for about a week. He warmed up to her right away during the meet and greet which is pretty unusual for him. She is clearly very good with dogs, and clearly cares for them a lot. She sent great updates throughout my trip, and Bear was happy and well adjusted when I returned. Can’t recommend Becca enough!
Becca did an awesome job taking care of our two pups and our house while we were away. One of our dogs is very protective of her house around new people and Becca got her to warm up to her. She sent us pictures and updates throughout our trip. Everything was great and I would highly recommend her!
Becca is AWESOME!! I have a very crazy pup who needs some special attention and she has done an amazing job. I personally also like to be in "contact" and know how my dog is doing a lot and she will always text me updates and pictures! She is very responsible and a great pet sitter! Highly recommended!!!

Safety, trust & environment
I am gentle and compassionate with dogs, and use bribery and positive reinforcement to guide behavior. Most dogs seem to take to me, even shy ones. I won't just feed your dogs and let them out a few times a day; they get cuddles and conversation and lots of love (if they want it. If they're not the cuddling type, of course I don't force it on them). Typically I come to stay at your house to be with your dogs. My roommates have two dogs and two kids, and we've found that the addition of more dogs is stressful for everyone. Dogs are happier to stay in their homes. I've also sat for chickens and alpacas, if you're an urban farmer type. I'm happy to water plants. (I'm not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination, but I probably won't kill your plants.) A note about cats: I'm happy to take care of cats, give them scratches, food and litter, all that good stuff. I'm allergic but control it with OTC medication. The problem is that I can't sleep in the same bed with them. If you have multiple cats, or if your cats need to cuddle a human during the night, I'm probably not the best person for them.
Information Rebecca W. would like to know about your pet
Regarding giving medication: I have given fluids (via IV) to a dog once, so have done it, but am not experienced. If your dogs needs medication via injection, I'm happy to learn, but that will be a specific process/lesson that I would very much like to go over and learn more about before you leave town.
A typical day
It really depends on your dog! I do my best to duplicate whatever structure/environment you've given them. I'm generally pretty stay-at-home, but will give your dogs however many walks they're used to in their daily life. I'm also a runner, so if your dog is good on a leash and higher energy, I'd love to bring them on a run! I try to avoid situations when a dog will be off-leash outside the home, unless it's a secure situation like a dog park. Until they know me really well (and I know them), I've noticed that dogs that have really great recall with their owners will have none with me! Leashes/enclosed spaces (house, backyard, etc) keep them safe and secure.

Availability
I currently work from home two days a week, but sometime in August my work will be expecting me back in the office 5 days. It may be necessary to book a midday walk for your dog if they're not used to being home alone for 8-9 hours.
