Welcome to Dog Funnie's Place! My husband and I starting fostering and caring for dogs/cats since we first moved in together, 10 years ago. Through our fostering ventures, we fell in love with and adopted our first puppy together, Colbert (who is now 7 years old!). Since then, we love dogging around with him and meeting new dog friends for him to walk and play with (and we have always loved having extra heartbeats in our home ). We even chose our current townhome for its dog-friendly neighborhood, various dog walking paths, and for it's spacious interior for visiting dogs to settle in and feel comfortable around the house. We appreciate dogs of all sizes, shapes, breeds, and ages with a special soft spot for shy dogs and seniors. Our Colbert is small and friendly and always tries to find a playmate with any four-pawed friend. So for social dogs and for those seeking social interactions for their dogs, we are happy to provide a built in playmate at our home. Having fostered several dogs with challenging behaviors and understanding how important it is for them to be safe and comfortable, we also welcome dogs who may prefer to be separate from others and/or enjoy the company of humans only (an additional fee may apply if full separation is requested). For dogs working on social skills and with specific training needs, my husband and I will gladly discuss with you and do our best to reinforce the training you are working on at home. Our small household is committed to helping your pet(s) feel comfortable and receive the best possible care while you travel. We look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets!

Kristey is so warm and caring. She was overly conscientious which made everything seamless. We had a meet n' greet where we met her dog and he too is great! While I was away, I got daily updates and photos which put me at ease. The dogs were either wrestling and having fun, out for a walk or peacefully asleep on their bed. The first day I was away, she texted me telling me how snuggly my dogs were and that she was making sure to give them lots of love. She said it was going to be hard to give them back at the end of the week which made me fell at ease knowing they were truly being loved and cared for. We had a peculiar drop off situation so Kristey even came by my house to make sure we had all of the details correct. When I came home everything was as planned and there was even a lovely note on my kitchen table giving me progress notes. My only reservation in giving her this positive feedback is that all of you readers will book her and I won't be able to get in! Selfish of me, I know! Seriously, Kristey is the PERFECT dog sitter!
Kristey is a gem! When we were going to be gone for a week, we knew we wanted someone to come to the house to watch our animals and to keep an eye on the house. Kristey was amazing, she came over twice to meet us and to have a playdate before we left. When at last minute I had to delay our plans by a day due to my daughter being ill she was flexible and showed concern. When we were gone we got texts, photos and even videos of her playing with our animals. She gave our cat pills, she made sure everyone was WELL taken care of she was very detailed in her updates to us. I know my furry family was in great hands while we were gone! She not only took care of the pets but brought in mail, packages, took trash cans out and brought them in and made sure the gardner had access. She cleaned up and washed the bedding so it was fresh upon our arrival home and had a very in depth update printed out for us when we got there. I would use Kristey again and recommend her to anyone who wants a compassionate, fun, friendly person loving on their pets while they are gone!
Kristey cared for my two cats while I was on vacation and I didn't once worry about them knowing she was taking care of them. She spent time with my cats on her visits, cared for my plants, and she sent me periodic updates (including pics!) Kristey is great with animals, as they are with her. (Even my semi-feral cat warmed up to her!) I highly recommend Kristey if you are looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!!
Great clean home. We felt immediately comfortable with Kristy. Our boy did well and she kept us updated on his stay. She walked him and gave our boy individual attention and consideration.
