Pet care experience
I've loved animals & have devoted my entire life to animal care! I have over 30 years of professional pet care experience. I spent 19 years working at a veterinary hospital (veterinary assistant & behavior counselor), 15 years at an animal shelter (caregiver, volunteer & Director) and 8 years at a doggie daycare (caregiver, Supervisor, dog trainer & General Manager). I am also a certified dog trainer. I have fostered, rescued & pet sat many critters over the years. I have also had many of my own to love from young to old and special needs. Your fur baby, while with me, will be treated as my fur baby. We have 3 different sized fenced areas for lots of exercise & an unending amount of snuggles to give your pet while you're away.

Dodie was very attentive to Zeke. We appreciated her keeping an eye on his allergies and being flexible on his sleeping arrangements. We really liked the connection during our trip via text pictures. Thank you Dodie for Zeke’s comfortable stay.
Dotie did a great job with Ava. She did a great job staying in touch with me and giving me updates. She did a great job accepting any special instructions I gave her. If we go away again. I will definitely see if Dotie can watch my girl.
Dixie loves it at Dotty's! I was worried that she wouldn't want to come home!

I have 3 fenced in areas and 2 friendly dogs to help keep your pup entertained. If I am away, your dog (if can't come with), can be crated or in an exercise pen inside my home. Unless you prefer otherwise, your pup will sleep on the bed with us and be allowed to snuggle on the furniture. I have an active 11 year old (human) who helps me out when needed. He's grown up with multiple dogs, so he is great with them. We've pet sat for others Guinea pigs and rabbits here as well as dogs. Our Guinea Pig and 4 cats have access to our finished lower level (which the dogs do not) to escape any unwanted doggie attention. Feeding time is twice a day but accommodations can be made if more often is required. Medication is not a problem to give.

Is your dog vaccinated for rabies, distemper and leptospirosis? If your dog dewormed monthly or has a fecal test done routinely? Is your dog on a flea & tick preventative? Is your dog potty trained? Does your dog know any cues (commands)? Which vet do you take your dog to?
A typical day
Daily activities can include dog to dog play in large fenced in area. Playing fetch or play with other toys in large fenced area. Leash walking if desired. Mentally stimulating puzzle games. Having a sniffari either in nearby part or fenced area at home. Short training sessions. Belly rubs and snack time.

Availability
I'm currently working 35 hours a week & coming home at lunchtime to let the dogs out to run around. I'm a homebody on the weekends!
