I first got my dog four years ago from the SPCA and she was severely neglected and starved. She was only a puppy and I wasn't sure if she was going to live. She's doing much better now and she's a very important part of my life. I never knew it could be so emotional raising a dog. She's literally my kid and I would do anything to ensure that she has a healthy, happy life. Her name is Slim because she was so skinny when I got her. I would treat your pets with the same love and compassion I have for my baby Slim. Slim changed me for the better. I have a bigger heart and a deeper appreciation for dogs. I've had dogs all my life but this was the first one I rescued and took care of since she was a puppy. Dogs are special. Sometimes I think we humans don't deserve them.
