I have been watching dogs professionally now for about a year and a half. I have done it full time for 1 year, as in my full-time job watching multiple dogs at a time, all shapes, sizes, and demeanors while boarding them in my home. I've handled packs of 8 dogs in my own home with regular daycare and pet sitting. I can handle any crisis that may come with this business from a medical emergency to a sad pup missing its owner. This has comprised of pet sitting dogs of every size and every age from puppy to 15 years old. I have walked at least a hundred dogs at this point as well. I have learned a lot about dogs during this time and it has been very rewarding, with eyes filled with love and warm cuddles. Medication administration and special diets I can also take care of as well. While you are away, whether that is a few hours or a month, your dog will be taken care of as if they were my own. I have been around dogs since birth. Growing up I always wanted to train our new dogs and would spend hours after school doing so. We always had high energy dogs growing up, Australian Shepherds and Labs. As an adult, I have owned an Australian Shepherds and a German Wirehaired Pointer. I currently live with a 14-year-old Aussie! Also, while dogs are my specialty, pet sitting often involves other pets. I grew up with cats as well, so I am familiar with them and often get along very quickly with cats. I emphasize dogs for pet sitting since if you own both dogs and cats, you know dogs are more often higher maintenance. I like walking dogs for both my health and theirs. If you have a very high energy dog and you usually exercise with them, I can run with them too.
