Dog lover currently without dog!
Pet care experience
My beloved Nick (90# labradoodle schnauzer) is no longer with me. His brother (cat) Max is, and I have adopted a stray cat JoJo. My dog training/handling has been through neighbor that raises guiding eye dogs from small pups. I still visit with 'the pack' twice daily and walk with the dogs. I have also sat for cats and 'retrained' them from scratching people and furniture. Please be aware my 'quiet time' on Rover is from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. I will answer requests in the morning. I am not currently working, so visiting with your beloved pet(s), giving them love and attention, will be one of the highlights of my day! Your pet will be cared for as if you are there! I will give them all the love and attention any fur baby should have. Be aware that the house sitting service includes 3 walks, but is not a 24/7 service.
Reviews
Diane always does a thoughtful caring job. And often goes above & beyond. Thank you Diane
Diane was great with our hyper, excited one year old pup while we were on our honeymoon. Diane was flexible and patient with his needs. She also taught us and him some great behavior strategies during on leash walks, and he’s stuck with them! Thanks, Diane!
Diane always cares and loves our pups like her own
Diane was great with our cats. She let us know daily what they were doing( running from her as one is quite feral and the other one got pets), how they were eating etc. She also went out of her way to keep our plants happy around the house which was not required but nice anyway of her. i would definitely use her again if she's available .

I do not care for pets in my home. When caring for pets in your home, it is my expectation that you already have pet safety planned and in mind. Crate training of a dog is extremely helpful, especially if they are not accustomed to being left alone.
Information Diane V. would like to know about your pet
Knowing your dog's routine/schedule, dietary restrictions, if any, if they are well socialized with other dogs or cats, if they are crate trained, and, of course, vet information. All of this information should be updated for each pet in Rover. I encourage home sitting owners to contact their vet let them know that I will be watching their fur babies, God forbid, they need vet's attention.
A typical day
I will love on and play with your dog or cat, giving them time for their 'normal' routine, so they are more comfortable. We will walk and play outside, as weather allows - we are in Rochester after all! I will stop back to my home for a few hours as my cats also need a little attention.

Availability
I am somewhat retired, so my days are flexible and planned around morning, mid-day, and evening walks. I often have multiple pets to care for mid-day, so flexibility is key.
