Pet care experience
I had my first dog at the age of 6, when my dog, Duchess, who was a stray, followed my brothers home from their paper route. That was the beginning of my love for animals. I have been caring for dogs for the past 21 years, beginning with my Yellow Lab, Tessa, whom I raised from 8 weeks old to 13 1/2 years. Since 2014 I have adopted Seniors, giving them a safe place to rest their heads and feel loved in their final years. In May 2022, I adopted a 2 year old purebred Lab, Remy who was dumped at a shelter in Missouri. She came to Colorado and is now living the good life. I also lost my 14 1/2 year old Golden Rescue named Bella in September 2022. Over the years, friends have depended on me to babysit their dogs, young and old, and I treat them like my own. They are spoiled and loved while in my care. I am retired and am home all day. If I leave the house it's for 1-2 hours at best. I am able to administer medications, and tailor their overnight stay to their activity level. My house has minimal stairs (only 3 to go out back), making it easier for older dogs to go out to potty. Having had senior dogs for many years, I understand the anxiety dog owners go through when leaving their older dogs in someone's care, which is why I specialize in caring for older dogs. Anyone who knows me trusts me implicitly with their canine companions.
Reviews
Ralph was so well taken care of by Diane and Remy. He loves his stays with them! Diane is very good at sending pics of his stay and you can tell she really has a good heart for caring for dogs. Ralph will happily stay again!
Professional, personable, and so sweet with my pup! Diane, thank you so much, I will be sure to reach out in the future :)
Chloe had a great stay at Diane's! Diane took such great and loving care of our senior dog and send lots of updates and pictures through out the day! We would highly recommend her to anyone. You can tell how much she loves dogs, especially seniors. We will definitely book her again!
Diane was a wonderful host for Ralph! He spent a week and we can tell he was well cared for and very comfortable with Diane and Remy. Diane made sure to send many pictures demonstrating how comfortable he was and how he and her dog had become friends. I would use Diane again without hesitation!

When a dog comes to my house, they receive the red carpet treatment. I have posturepedic beds, I have been known to prepare special meals, which consists of homemade bone broth, sweet potatoes. I play ball in the yard, if they are able. I have so many squeaky toys for them to play with. My home is a calm and safe environment. My 2 year old Lab, Remy is very respectful of older dogs, as she lived with my 14 1/2 year old Golden until Bella passed away. If the client dog wants to play, Remy will play. If not, then Remy will play on her own. Any dog in my care will feel right at home. I am CPR and First Aid Certified through the Red Cross.

Information Diane P. would like to know about your pet
I would appreciate knowing if your dog has special needs, as I will pay specific attention to these needs. Also, any quirks I should know about would be appreciated.
A typical day
I play ball in the yard, tug of war. I have dog puzzles to engage the dogs. I love taking the dogs for walks in Wash Park, as I live one block from the park. I also like to drive into Cherry Creek, take the pups to Starbucks for a puppacino and walk through the Country Club area.
