My husband and I are in our early 50’s and our children no longer live at home. We recently lost our beloved Labrador after 9 fabulous years. We miss him immensely. We have an acre of land where he would spend many days catching balls, laying in the sun and surveying the neighborhood. We are active and like to take dogs for walks and general outdoor activities.. We enjoy taking care of others pets replacing the companionship we had with our lab. We do not allow dogs on our furniture or beds as I have a slight allergy that is controlled by not allowing pets on furniture or beds. My husband and I both grew up with dogs and are comfortable with maintaining the routine and discipline that dog owners require for their family member.
