Life long experience in pet care

Pet care experience

I have taken care of my pets and others all my life. I have a senior and young cat now, and our dog passed this summer at age 16. Raised on a farm, I have extensive experience with various animals.

Diane took care of our 10 month old over active English Springer Spaniel for 5 nights while I recovered from knee surgery. Her home was a perfect location for our Ana. Huge yard and open field. Small quiet neighborhood by the river. Nice size pet friendly home. I know she had her hands full with our puppy with her cats. Puppy never had been around cats before. I totally appreciate her time and taking in our Ana. She’s a wonderful person who cares about the pet and owner needs. I recommend her highly.

Diane did a fantastic job. This was my first time leaving my pets and I was so nervous at first. But with lots of check-ins and pics from my pets sitter, I felt much better. It's clear she took great care of them while I was gone. Not only will I be requesting this sitter in the future but I will highly recommend her to friends and family.

Diane is great with all animals. She treats hers and ours like family. She loves the outdoors and making homemade treats for all cute babies.

Diane is the best! I am not someone who is comfortable leaving my fur babies, but I trust that when in the care of Diane, my dogs feel so much love. Diane is a true pet lover who will treat your animal with lots of love and attention. Anyone who hires her will be lucky to have her in their pets life. Highly recommend!!!

Safety, trust & environment

We have a 30 foot cable run off our patio to attach a leash. Also, we have a large yard for exercise and play. Our small subdivision in the country is off the main street. Neighbors walk their dogs on the street, because we have limited, slow traffic. In our home, if your pet is allowed to be on furniture or beds in your home, they are welcome on ours. I will do my best to follow routines you have developed with your pets. Same situation if I am caring for your pet in your home.

Information Diane M. would like to know about your pet

I prefer a written meal time schedule, including times and amount for feeding. I need owners to supply me with their food if they are staying with me. Letting me use a pet's own food dishes, bedding, and toys will help them be less fearful and acclimate more quickly. If your animal is on medication I need them clearly marked with description and dosage. Any individual personality traits an owner feels is important for me to know will be positive information to communicate with me.

A typical day

I have dog and cat toys available for play. We have a large yard, and our little subdivision has limited traffic to make dog walks safe. I realized cats may take more time to warm up to me, especially because I have 2 of my own cats. There are plenty of "hiding places" in the house for them to observe, and choose their own time to engage. Most all dogs react positively to me when I meet them, and I will pay attention to their doggie ques, so I can discover what play they're comfortable with. Also, I know how important it is to follow owner instructions for care and play for their pets.
