Pet care experience
I can't remember a time I did not have dogs and/or cats. I have had 2 or more dogs my entire life, as I can't image a day without them. I have also had several cats over the years. I am recently retired and I cannot think of anything better than spending my extra time with animals, and since I haven't won the lottery so I could buy acreage and start a rescue center, this is the next best thing! ha ha. I have always been the go-to person for advice, on care, and training my friend's and family's pets, as well as helping them find rescues that are the right fit. I currently have 1 Dachshund mix (Sophie) and a Labrador (Honey), who join me in 1 to 3 mile walks several times a week, as well as dog park trips (when safe). We are a multi-family household and we also have 2 small dogs and a cat we care for. I have trained many a puppy and have cared for many seniors over the years. I am patient and loving and will take care of your baby as if it were my own. I retired from a field working with developmentally disabled adults, which allowed me to obtain even more patience and understanding. I am very active and will enjoy playing with your pet or just chilling with them if that is what they need.
Reviews
Diane, thank you. Wonderful, as always!
Diane is so wonderful at her job that she gives me a peace of mind that I haven't really had before when leaving my fur and feather babies. With my puppies, it seems that they continue to find new and innovative ways to misbehave when I'm gone and Diane is able to go above and beyond to address and ensure their safety, happiness, and further their training. I will definitely continue to seek out Diane whenever I have to travel without them.
Diane is wonderful! Our kitties love her!
Diane was prompt in her visits, and the cats enjoyed her immensely. She not only took care of our precious babies, she was considerate of our property. We feel we have found not just the perfect cat sitter, but a good friend. Our fur babies have given her the dew-claws up!

Safety, trust & environment
Having had animals my entire life, I have been through all stages of their lives; from puppyhood to senior care. I have had to care for pets with medical issues over the years and my current dog takes medication twice a day, so I am comfortable administrating any medications that may be required. Safety is my number one concern; I never put my pets in harms way. For instance, I have not been taking my dogs to the dog park since the virus scare and will not do so until the threat is removed. I enjoy walking, playing catch, ruff-housing, and general playing with my dogs, as well as just laying with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I am adamant about following pet owners rules, as I want others to follow mine. Although I haven't cared for a special needs animal, with the proper instructions, I feel I could take care of your pet with confidence.
Information Diane C. would like to know about your pet
Any special instructions: Veterinary information must be available. If I am unable to get a hold of you, should I take your pet to the vet in an emergency? Any health Issues. Their food and how they like it, if their allowed treats and how many per day, anything I need to know about taking your dog(s) on a walk, any quirks, likes and/or dislike with your pet, things to avoid. How they enjoy playing, and the things you like to do with your pet.
A typical day
I enjoy daily walks (1-3 miles), maybe a trip to the dog park (if applicable), a game of catch, or just running around and playing. An of course, snuggling and petting.

I have a fairly fluid schedule; what a great way to spend my extra time while retired. I love being with animals and getting to know pet parents.
