Pet Staycation Extraordinaire!!!

Pet care experience

I grew up with Beagles and German Shepherds , cats, lots of wild animals and since then, have cared for other breeds small and large. This has included the whole range of daily love and attention, feeding and exercise as well as administering oral and topical medicines, caring for broken bones, and post-neutering care. My personal standard is: safety first, love and attention, exercise, giving meds, reassurance, and lots of on-the-floor fun play, tummy rubs and scratching behind the ears! My house offers indoor space for comfort and cozy security while the outdoor yard is walled, safe and always available for sunshine, movement, lazing about and change of scenery.

This was our first experience with rover and a sitter. Diane was an amazing sitter! She was truly such a joy to meet. She welcomed us with kindness and loved on our pups as soon as she met them, which gave us peace of mind knowing they would be in Diane’s attentive care. She’s a great communicator and updated us with messages, photos and videos of their walks, enjoying their snacks and relaxing! What a blessing to have found Diane! We’d love for her to watch them again in the future.

Diane is a wonderful person! She is so kind and Mellow loves her. Every time I leave Mellow with Diane when traveling, I have a peace of mind and don’t worry about my dog, as I know he is in good hands. Mellow stayed with Diane twice now and we will be returning to her whenever we need to leave Mellow.

Diane provided great care to our two dogs. They had such a great time they didn’t want to come home. Not only did Diane take great care of our dogs she was very responsive with messages and pictures of how our pups were doing. She’s a great person and there’s no doubt we will rebook with her in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

My home is set up to be safe for humans and animals. The sliding door, doggie door and stair gate are options that may be appropriate depending on the preferences of the pet or pet owner. There are also cozy corners and hideaways available for pets who want a quiet spot away from everything ;+]. Unless sitting 2 animals from the same owner, I concentrate my attention to one pet at a time to minimize possible conflict and maximize pet safety and comfort. If they play well together, then we party inside and out!!!

Information Diane C. would like to know about your pet

I will need to see documentation of your dog's current vaccinations. Also helpful is information about your pet's special needs, phobias, stressors and preferences, mealtimes, play preferences, and disposition with other dogs. If your doggie has a medical condition I would want to have your vet information as well as any emergency info.

A typical day

We will start the day with ear scratching, breakfast in separate places, some play in the backyard in the morning sun, and then a brisk or leisurely walk in the bosque. We can also explore good walking circuits in the neighborhood that are safe and serene. Back at home, there is a doggie door as well as a sliding door, so poochies have access to the outside at all times, to soak up the sun, sniff around or fun and frolic with others. Afternoon nap time, snacks, another walk outside, frisking about together, anything goes for the afternoon. Evening meal, watching Jeopardy or Shark Tank and some cuddling are perennial favorites and the run-up to a quiet slumber for the night in a cozy bed, crate or open space ;+]
