Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Diana and I can't wait to meet your pet family! You too, of course! Ha,ha! First let me say the Rover weight sittings are not accurate for us! The 16 to 40 pds? Fishstick prefers dogs his size. He likes less than 20 pounds. Please put accurate pick up/drop off times when you make your reservation. That way I can schedule my plans as well as have all of your pets belongings ready! Rover considers an overnight 24hrs. So if you drop off at 11am, then you need to pick up at 11 am or your fee will adjust. I hope that helps you understand how you are being charged. The best time to drop your pet off is anytime in the morning after 7am & before dinner time. This gives your dog a chance to aclimate to his or her temporary new family. Having time to go for a walk helps them with any separation anxiety & distracts them from being left. It also bonds them with my dog Fishstick. About me: There was a big dog in my home before I was even born! I have always had a dog and growing up, I was always bringing strays home. My mother had to place newspaper ads, back then to find homes for them. At age 12 my mother put me into dog training classes. So my dogs have always been well trained. They learn leave it, take it and all other basic commands, plus a few tricks. Of course, they are allowed on the furniture! In the last several years I have had a German Shepard and Labradors, but recently have my very first small dog. I have fostered puppies and other dog breeds too. Keeping them for as long as needed, taking them to the vets etc until they found their forever home. You tell me what your pet needs and I will be able to nurture and love them like my own!

Amazing and kind
Diana is such a adorable person! She took good care of waffles!
Diana took amazing care of our little doggy and provided excellent communication. Highly recommended.
Diana was wonderful with my older mellow rescue! She walked her everyday and sent me a picture of an app that shows where she walked and duration. She sent me plenty of photos and provided lots of honest descriptive texts on how my dog was doing and how she was getting along with Fishstick and Stella and another dog she was sitting. Diana also trained my dog to use the stairs to get on the bed. :) I will def be a repeat customer!

My yard is huge & fenced. I always keep a close eye out to make sure they are not the type to try & escape. I never let the dogs I care for off leash or go to a dog park. Their care is of upmost importance to me.

Information Diana M. would like to know about your pet
Be sure to let me know your dogs play habits and any special needs, medication, or anxiety (my dog has a little of that) issues. What is your pets feeding schedule, any food allergies, (I like to give healthy treats), reaction to cats, I have 2 & one of them loves dogs! She will walk right up to them! Any sleeping habits, my dog likes sleeping under the covers for example. Do you use a harness? It's best for walking as it does not choke and your dog cannot slip out of it. How does your pet like children? I have 2 grandchildren that occasionally will stay at my house. They love all animals and are 10 & 12 years old. They named 2 of my pets! Fishstick and Piper!
A typical day
My current pup has asked for dogs under 20 pounds unless they are pretty mellow. Rover only gives up to a 15 pounds option for small & the next size goes to 40 pds! That is just too big for Fishstick. Fishstick and I love to go for long daily hikes, in nearby parks. Usually Bridle Trails, Woodlands Park or Grasslawn Park. I use my Wolftrax dog app which donates for me and tracks my distance, time and speed, plus gives me a map of my walk. Normally 1-2 miles per day. At home I have extra doggy beds, toys and treat puzzles to make them think, a long hallway for ball/toy tossing or in the large backyard, a doggy door and my pup who loves to play, once he gets to know if your dog likes to play or not. You can bring your pups favorite toys, treats, feeding bowl, blanket and/or bed. I prefer a dog HARNESS over a collar. They can't slip out! I never let your dog off leash or take to a dog park. For their safety!

I really prefer to keep a very close eye on any new dogs in my household. I love taking photos of cute moments and sending to worried doggy parents. I try not to go anywhere or take the dogs with me when I do.
