Growing up on a family farm meant being surrounded by dogs growing up. We always had at least one family dog, often two, and as a family of modest income I had a great many responsibilities with the animals. We also often bred our purebred Border collie. Our dog, Mika, had three litters each between 9-12 large!! Everyday, I spent anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours training the puppies and teaching them about human contact. Now, as I pursue my environmental career in Seattle, I don't have the opportunity to have my own dog due to housing and finances. So, it is my wish to share my love of our four legged friends with the local community! While I may no longer live on the farm, I still retain the work ethic it instilled in me. It is this work ethic, as well as my love and care, that I will share with every dog I care for.
