Currently booking 1-week minimum, cats or small dogs. I have 5 years of extensive volunteer experience at the Tacoma Humane Society in Washington State, and worked there 2 years as an employee. This has given me a tremendous amount of experience with dogs with a wide variety of behavior and personality traits: from stressed-out, scared, completely untrained & un-socialized to easy-going, very chill & snuggly. It is my job to be kind, patient and work with the dog to let it know I'm a friend. I fostered almost 200 animals in my home while I was a volunteer, including dogs, cats, rabbits and chinchillas. I've cared for animals of all ages: from neo-natal litters of puppies & kittens as young as 3 days needing constant bottle feeding to seniors in hospice care. Unfortunately fostering is something I had to put on hold for now, but look forward to when it fits into my life again. I love it! I have also worked part-time at a rural free-range dog boarding facility, so am familiar with managing up to 15 large-breed dogs running around a muddy field during play-time. I love in-home pet-sitting as it gives me a chance to be a companion to a pet where they are most comfortable and provides their owner with peace-of-mind while away for work or vacation. It is a much more mellow environment for the pet (and me, lol) versus a boarding facility. I often spend the summer in NYC, and pet-sat for a couple clients last summer. Hoping to find good families again this summer! :)
