Pet care experience
Through socializing and training my own two rescue dogs (a Chihuahua mix and a Pitbull/Shepherd mix), volunteering at an animal shelter, and now working at a shelter full time for over two years, I have handled and cared for hundreds of dogs and cats of all ages and sizes - including those with behavioral/medical issues like jumping, barking, mouthing/biting, fearfulness, reactivity, resource guarding, deafness, blindness, and more. I am trained to interpret and appropriately respond to animal body language using positive reinforcement methods and employ gentle corrections, treats, and praise to maintain/continue your pet's training. I can assist with teaching skills such as potty and crate training, loose leash walking, sit, down, look, heel, place, paw/shake, and more. I also have experience administering vaccines, preventatives, and oral medications.

For repeat clients: Just let me know if anything has changed regarding your pet's care :) For new clients: Let's schedule a meet and greet! Please provide basic care details (food, water, exercise, etc.) and let me know if your pet(s) have any medications, special needs, or medical/behavioral concerns. I am confident in handling any of these situations, but I still always like to know beforehand so I can provide the best care to your pet(s)! I also request that all clients either provide a preferred vet, or authorize me to choose a vet in the event of an emergency.
A typical day
I always take care of basic needs first (potty, food, water, medication, etc). Then any extra time I'll always spend time giving your pet(s) attention/training/playtime/exercise! I usually gauge what your pet would like the most for that day and go from there :) After each visit, you will receive a Rover card through the app filled with photos and details of the visit!
