I have several years of experience working as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital that also had a busy boarding facility (sometimes more than 20 dogs)! It was our full time job to make sure the pets trusted to us were happy, healthy, and well cared for. Not only did this provide me with dog walking and boarding experience, I also participated extensively in the medical care of our patients. I also volunteered for hundreds of hours with my local humane society with cats and dogs, but my animal handling and caretaking experience extends beyond dogs and cats: I also volunteered at an animal rescue in Ecuador with rainforest critters and a local rat rescue! Finally, I am a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, including dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, gerbils, and even a couple fish. I am a college graduate with a full time job at a children's hospital emergency department. My personality is naturally one of caretaking and responsibility. And last but not least, I love to be active and be outside, just like your dog!
