“That dogs frisbee is so fetch”

Pet care experience

My boyfriend and I share life with our dog Wilson, a 12 and a half year old McNab, Kelpie, Border Collie mix. Wilson is a super sweet, happy boy who’s pretty chill at home, but loves chasing balls and chewing sticks outside. He gets along with other dogs really well, and loves having friends over to hang out with while we dog sit. We signed up for Rover as a means to give our dog Wilson a way to have some friends around. We are open to having dogs in our home but can’t currently commit to spending our time dog sitting in other peoples homes. If you are comfortable with your dog hanging out at our place with Wilson, then we might be a good fit! We have a fenced in yard, a wooded trail behind our house, and a dog park on Lake Whatcom in our neighborhood. Let us know if you want our dogs to meet!

Our dog is elderly and requires lots of special care. Diana was understanding and put in extra effort to make him comfortable.

Information Diana B. would like to know about your pet

Our dog has arthritis he takes medication for. We try to limit the amount of mileage he gets per day while still keeping him active. 7-8 miles is his max right now. Let us know what your dogs special needs are so we can accommodate for them as well.

A typical day

We always walk two miles on the wooded trail behind our house, and throw some ball at the dog park at the marina. Sometimes we go to lookout mountain or whatcom falls park instead. Weather and dog ability dependent, day hikes can be thrown in such as the chuckanut trails or hikes off 542. Everything will be communicated and approved ahead of time we would never take someone’s dog on a hike without full knowledge, permission, and plans.

Our dog Wilson is never alone due to us working from home and bringing him with us for errands and adventures. Duties are split between me and my partner so there’s always someone around to care for the doggos.
