Pet care experience
I’ve been a professional dog walker in the past, and never met one I didn’t like! Even the more difficult ones have warmed to me with patience, and my heart is full of love for animals with none of my own to give it to right now. My partner and I have both lost our dogs in the past few years, and are not ready for our own just yet, but get SO much joy from watching our friends’ pets on occasion! I work retail and have Sundays and one other day off each week- my workplace is about 10 minutes away so I can come home midday when required. My home has a good sized fenced back yard, and even a dog door although that would not be left for unattended use when I am out of the house. Care will be tailored to the individual pet- I have gates to block off areas if needed, blankets to put on beds and couches (because they are welcome to snuggle, always!), and a cozy layout where an eye can easily be kept on animals at all times.

What an amazing experience having Nala stay with Diana! She was extremely communicative, reliable, and genuinely seemed excited to love Nala as much as we do! We knew Nala was in the best hands the entire time we were away. They went on lots of walks and we received many of the cutest pictures. Ten stars would absolutely have her stay with them again!!

Ruger is very happy at Diana’s and that means the world to me. She walks him regularly and sends photo/videos to show me he’s comfortable. She pays attention to his routines and preferences. I can leave knowing he’s got it good.

I have a fenced yard for lots of happy running around and fetch, and will only board one dog (or two from one household) per stay. We have a camera to keep an eye on them when left alone, to make sure they are safe and not in distress. So, your fur baby will get lots of special attention and care!

I will have to work during the day, so we would need to review if your pet can be left in a crate, blocked off area or trusted to free roam (we like our couch and don’t want it chewed up!) I can make time to come home midday as I work close by, if needed, so just need to know what each little sweetie requires!
A typical day
We can play in the house, out in the fenced yard, or take a one mile walk to Liberty Park! If your pet is a snuggler, there is plenty of room for them on our couch while we watch Jeopardy or a movie.

Availability
I work full time, very close to my home, and my partner has a flexible hybrid schedule, so we can generally work out days so doggos are not left alone for too long. I can always commit to morning and early evening walks/backyard or indoor play time, and can come home midday if needed. I am off all day on Sundays and Mondays for special fun long walks, hikes, dog parks or other adventures!
