I’ve been a dog owner and lover since I was a teenager. I also have a soft spot for cats, having grown up with cats since birth! I have experience of having rescue cats and dogs, and I’ve also brought up kittens and puppies. I regularly walk and board a couple of friends dogs for holidays and nights out etc. And occasionally drop in on a cat for feeding, littler change and, most importantly, play-time and cuddles (if the cat’s in the mood, that is!) I work from home and have a fair bit of flexibility with breaks and time away from my desk. Working in IT, it’s a fairly relaxed role, so plenty of cuddles, playtime and attention is available throughout the day. I’m available for an early morning walk if required (between 6-7am), lunch times (between 12-2pm) and then from 4:15pm onwards. If pets are boarding, I also have the capacity to take them out to the toilet as often as required outside of regular scheduled walk times, we can go on longer or shorter walks to suit your dogs requirements and health. I live in a two bedroom flat, with a private fenced in back garden. Pets are free to roam the flat if they/you want them to. I share ownership of my fur baby, a 1.5 year old working cocker spaniel called Ace. He is normally with me on the weekends (Thursday to Monday), but occasionally during the week too. He is a very sociable little guy and has no problem sharing his space and toys. Ace has taught me so much, we’ve been through a few of the Absolute Dogs positive training courses and it’s been such a joy to learn and train together. I understand the importance of positive training methods and I would be more than happy to listen and learn from you about any training you’re currently doing to ensure your dog is maintaining all of your desired behaviours.
