I have recently finished studying Animal Management in college and am currently studying Animal Behaviour and Conservation in university. Therefore, I have a deep knowledge and understanding of animal behaviour and welfare. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, I enjoy working with them, and hope to turn my love of animals into a life-long career. I have lots of experience with a variety of animals, from amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates to more common pets like fish, cats and dogs. I got my first pet hamster at age 8 and since then I’ve always had guinea pigs, hamsters or rats. I always exercised and provided enrichment for them daily. If you have any rodents I am able to care for them as well as dogs or cats, and take them out of the cage (if you’re comfortable with this) to provide them with enrichment. I also currently have a pet Giant African Land Snail and Ghost Mantis, and previously I have owned Guppy fish. Because of this, I am comfortable with caring for any exotic pets or fish that you have. I also have a pet cat. I play with and exercise her daily. I also groom her and give her light trimmings to maintain her fur. Finally, I have lots experience with dogs as I have been around them most of my life from a very young age. Although we touched on all species, dogs and cats were the main focus of my college course in terms of learning how to read their behaviour, nutrition and basic veterinary skills (such as CPR and health checks). Your animal will be well cared for and I will always enjoy caring for them. Thank you :)

Dex was amazing with our 12 week old puppy Paddy, so much so we rebooked them again on a weekend. They were super flexible, great at communicating and gave us real peace of mind while we were out and about. I would totally book Dex again!
Dex was amazing with our 12 week old puppy Paddy. We needed someone to look after him while we went out for a meal because he was too little to be left alone for a long time. Dex arrived on time and was super flexible when we were running half an hour late to come home. During the stay, they kept us updated the whole time and even sent photos of paddy for our peace of mind. I would totally book Dex again in the future. Thank you Dex!
Dex did a fantastic job of catsitting for our two rescue moggies. This was our first time leaving Az and Kiri, and it's fair to say that I am a rather anxious pawrent! But Dex put me at ease, right from our first correspondence they were understanding and reassuring. Quick to respond to messages and clear communication throughout. We got some lovely updates with pics/video while we were away, which was much appreciated and helped me to relax and enjoy our festival. Came home to a very clean and tidy house - you wouldn't have known anyone had been here - and two very content cats. I feel much more confident about leaving the cats now and already have Dex booked in for another stay. Would not hesitate to recommend!
Dex was a pleasure to work with. I booked Dex to house sit while I was on a trip. My flight was canceled last minute and I was away from home for an extra night. Dex was very responsive and helpful in sorting out accommodation for my dog. I will book Dex again.

Availability
I’m currently in university 3 days a week. If your pets can be left alone for a few hours, I can work around them. I’m free most weekends and am happy to provide 24/7 care then!
